  1. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Horse pucky. And a Tesla is not an automobile...anymore than a golf kart. And an electric only mustang won't be either. I'm fixin' to buy a '7 1 Mach w/ 3514V. That'll show em.
  2. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

Yeah, boy am I ready for them to just go back to calling them Cobras. Amazing cars, but I could do without the Shelby thing.
  3. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

Most people know this, I certainly do. It doesn't mean much. Rumors about when the S650 would drop were all over the place in the last 2-3 years. Plans seems to change fast at Ford. Hell, they have three CEOs in every Mustang lifecycle. At least Hackett is gone.
  4. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

This must be a mistake. It makes no sense. If the current start date info is correct, S650 will run MY'23, '24, '25, '26, '27,'28, which is only 6 model years. How in the world can they know the start date of the gen after the gen that hasn't even started yet?
  5. Please Educate Me On Torque Management

Yeah, that's weird. I drive a '14 GT and it'll burn the tires off if I stab it at 4K in first. Grab second and it spins 'em pretty hard, with TC off. I have a Steeda canned tune, but you should still be up 40 HP or so on my car. I have 3:31 gears.
  6. Traded in the my 16 GT for a 13 Boss 302 Laguna Seca

I enjoy the clean/sparse interior design of the S197. My '14 GT Premium has, to me, the look of a 2010s concept car. Clean lines, not fussy, not too many buttons, etc. I enjoy it. I'm waiting until the 2023 stuff is shown before I jump on a new car.
  7. Traded in the my 16 GT for a 13 Boss 302 Laguna Seca

Sick, a black Boss 'Seca. I'm with you 100%! I drive a '14 GT, old skool brother.
  8. Is this a FP PP3?

And the spoiler is gone. Don' think the spoiler delete is available with any PP car. Am I right here? Were there any plugged holes in the decklid? Bummed the wheels are gone, but those are nice, if you like them.
  9. Well that went bad

Forget the glue. If you glue that thing in there you're buying a new shifter assembly. Epoxy will glue it in there. Go buy an Eazy-out and you'll be done. Or try it with a wood screw. Use the lower holes to lock the shaft if it wants to spin when drilling it.. Good luck!~
  10. 2021 GT500: Manual Trans Option?

Reality is they can't. They'd have to redesign everything from the flywheel back to handle goons powershifting it. If you want 760/650, you're not getting a manual. I'm sure that's why they got it programmed to granny shift in the lower gears under full power.
  11. 2021 GT500: Manual Trans Option?

C'mon. 90% of them are bought by street poseurs. If they made a manual option, they'd sell the shit out of it. My Mom's Macan has a DCT, it's annoying as hell. Does shift fast though.
  12. 2021 GT500: Manual Trans Option?

I was reading this thread and thinking about Porsche. They're ALLLLL about lap times, recording them, posting them, breaking records on this tire and that...I can't think of another company that does so much to show they can lap Nuremburgring faster than anybody. They offer manuals in almost...
  13. Why DIDN'T you get a camaro?

I didn't and don't buy C'mehros because they're Chevys. Period. When Ford get's stupid and only offers V6 automatic Mustang, I might reconsider.
  14. Interior plastic scratches on new car :(

The trunk ones look like they might wipe off? Sometimes a box or something leaves a transfer of residue. The door ones look worse. It's be nice if they replaced them... Bummer.
  15. The new 7.3 V8 fits in the Mustang......

I'd rather see a God-damned TT 4.0 V8 EcoBoost. Like every other manufacturer in the world makes. Seems like a no-brainer to add two cylinders to the 3.0 V6, same bore spacing, same line, same cam phasing hardware, timing chains/cover, Oiling system, same accessory package, engine mounting...
  16. The new 7.3 V8 fits in the Mustang......

They've said they're making a 6.8L version. I believe it was said that one was to be an aluminum block. Not sure though.
  17. Finally, something good from Ford and my dealer

I take my car to the local dealer to get my stuff done. They always do a fine job. With a job/wife/kids/house to deal with, I just don't have time to fart around with oil and rotating tires in my driveway. I've paid my dues in dirt hands, cuts, bad back from wrenching on old cars when I was...
  18. Irresponsible driving = crashed Shelby

Disgusting. This is right by my house. What a f'in loser.
  19. Ford Stops Building Sticky-Tire Mustangs Every Winter

Like some others have said, I'm pretty sure modern engines DGAF about it once they're in customer's hands. Never heard anyone say "brah, I didn't break my 2020 Ford engine in correctly and now it's F'ed." All the "breaking in" happens in teh first few minutes it's run at the factory. Pretty...
  20. sluggish startup?

Yeah, a quick push. It just sends a signal to start the car, it's not like you have to hold to actually crank the starter. My '14 has a key (obviously) and even those you just tap teh key quick and the computer does the rest. I heard that the coyote was set up for push button starting from...
