Hey guys. I'm stationed down in Del Rio, but frequent San Antonio and Austin a lot and figured I'd say hello. Picked up a Competition Orange GT PP about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Coming from the Subaru world and this car is a completely different monster.
Could use some help deciding if I should save up for the bolt-ons (mainly catback) and some suspension mods first, or screw it and just get a supercharger.
Is this a tune for different mods you may have or is it more of an aggressive generic tune? Do you know exactly how Ford Racing works with the tunes they offer?
Oh ok gottcha. So if Wipple, just the first name that popped in my head, offers a warranty on their supercharger and something happens to the engine that can be proven to be caused by the supercharger, then Wipple will fix the engine? That's the way it seems to be with Ford Racing (or I could be...
I'm actually going to quote some of the stuff that you've said on here if you're ok with that if Ford tries to pass it of as normal wear. I absolutely love the car but am a little disappointed in some of the build quality stuff like the leather seats and the body panel issues as well. What will...
Are the coilovers more reliable and better for your suspension than springs in general? Not trying to jack your thread but just want to understand. Would like to stiffen up the ride and bit and drop it ~1" but I don't want to do that is the springs are going to cause the suspension to fail in...
Mine are extremely bad on the driver side. The car is currently at my dealership getting looked at. Ford told them to take the seats out, take off the covers, and reapply them to see if that fixed the problem and it hasn't. They're keeping the car another day to talk to Ford. Word is they'll...
I'm still confused on a few things. First off, are the warranties that people are talking about all like the one Ford Racing has? I'm coming from the Subaru world and warranties were pretty much non-existent and I'm wanting to go the "safer" route (if that makes sense). Second, and I'm not...
