  1. Car been sitting for months in storage? Prime that oil system before firing it up!

Hmm, Two-stroke or four? must be two, in which case it is sort of irrelevant, plus there weren't hardly any 4 strokes twenty years ago. My sleds only fired right up if the fuel was properly prepped for seasonal, or long-term storage.
  2. Tis a sad day that I wish was an April fools joke.

A beautiful Black accent race red to boot! Sorry, this happened, glad you made it through!

  7. I weighed my Mustangs

Another mid 80's Mustang that was quite "light" was the 1986 SVO! I had one that was comp. prept. meaning NO A/C, No power windows, or door locks, or get this, >no radio< It did have, from the factory, Hurst 5 spd shifter, Koni adjustable shocks, 4 wheel discs, 16' tires, and wheels, Recaro...
  8. 10R80 not getting up to temp

In the summer mine can get up to 185* But now with near freezing temps it takes quite a while, or I have to drive the car harder, meaning a lot more on and off the gas, and a little manual shifting of gears. If I am just commuting, then it would take 50 miles to get to 180* That radiator for our...
  9. Replacement LED headlight bulbs?

  10. Replacement LED headlight bulbs?

Personally, I think the 18's and up are the absolute best headlight units on any vehicle I have ever had. ( once I got them aimed right)
  11. Track Day Temps Question! Please help! Oil & Cooler?

Road America! such a spectacular track! But IMO, you're either on the gas, or the brakes all the time. If you had the manual tranny, then I am guessing your brakes would give up first, but our stock 10-speed cars, on >that< track, would def. give up first.
  12. Rear brakes smoking.. Help!

Unsure, some smarter brake folk's will hopefully tell you. IMO, they def have gotten hot.
  13. Coyote 3 Oil Catch Can

I have had one on mine since new, I suppose if a person wanted to look bad enough, you could pull the intake mani off, and check it out. I don't know if just pulling the air intake off the throttle body would give you enough of a look into the intake tract, but you would see how much if any is...
  14. Rear brakes smoking.. Help!

Yes, those rotors are as blue as your lugs, plus you can always just touch them, quickly to see how hot the rears are.
  15. Ohlins Road and Track s550

Even the Ohlin's were surprised by the Mustang weight! lol
  16. Why is the rear ride height so low?

Could you possibly explain what is needed, or the procedure for installing these? Would I loosen the IRS cradle bolts? and do you need to remove Shocks? thank you for any pointers!!
  17. So how many of us none seniors own S550's

59.5 here, and love to drive my 18 GT 10spd, fast! IMO, it is an excellent high-speed car. Also, enjoy going to the local 1/4 mile track, 12.54 is my best so far. Even though I drive for a living, I have no problem driving around looking for roads to let it, and me, breathe!
