  1. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

I got yelled at by one of the Boosters over i the other threads. What do you mean by "..I ended up with everything etc. ..."?
  2. Gear swap question

    It costs thousands of dollars.
  3. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

The biggest negative I can think of for the V6 really has nothing to do with the quality of the enigne itself. I'm afraid that it will probably be dropped by Ford, that the EcoBoost is the engine of the future and everyone is going to want one of those, and no one is going to want the old V6...
  4. just got my LIVERNOIS TUNE

How is the response in first gear off the line, without over revving it?
  5. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

That's all fine, but now I'm questioning the 3.55 axle. Are you two happy with your 3.15s?
  6. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

As far as I can figure out, BmacMI bailed out of the V6 after ordering it and bought a GT. Explanations are very hard to come by.
  7. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

So, you got a GT? What kind of a deal is that!? You said you were ordering a V6???!!! Now what am I supposed to do?
  8. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

Hmmm. It's a 3.13 of course, not a 3.31. But you say "who needs the 3.55. The regular is plenty"?
  9. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

And your insurance would be higher, and the MSRP would be higher, and the sales tax would be higher, and the gas would be more, and the f/r balance would be front, and the car would be heavy. See. That's what I mean. In practice, the V8 is expensive for a lot of different reasons. And the eB...
  10. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

So you didn't get the 3.55? You say "base." No options?
  11. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

It's just forum talk. It really doesn't mean anything. If I could afford a GT, I would.
  12. My Review of the V6

The Magnetic really goes well with those wheels.
  13. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

See, that's what I mean. I appreciate Fox's understanding, but there's a perception based upon statistics and tests that the GT is faster. Right, it has a higher top speed and can traverse the 1/4 quicker, but in the real world I don't think it matters. You have to slow down when you get close...
  14. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

    Did you buy it Bmac?
  15. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

Wait a minute ... I haven't had a flat tire in forever. tires don't often go flat these days and if they do, I sure ain't going to change it. Are you saying I should drag around an extra 40 lbs of tire, rim and jack everywhere I go, or do you unload the thing in the garage in case I need it...
  16. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

Well, it's about .45 x 15 gallons = $6.75/tank. The mileage ratings you're using assume you aren't using a lot of turbo boost. They vary a lot and don't tell much of a story because global warming. If you make power you use gas.
  17. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

Hey, what about me? I brought it up. So, I'm going to get Goodyear Asymetricals? Whooopee! But why order the spare?
  18. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

I don't want the power seats because then I can't put an amplifier under the driver's seat. Also, I believe the power seat sits about 1/2" higher and I'm tall. Fortunately, the passenger seat will still be manual. But if the battery is on the driver's side, I have to lengthen the power line...
  19. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

I was wrong when I said this. I just went for gas. Regular 87 was $2.759. Premium 93 was $3.209!!! Midgrade is 89 octane which isn't good for anything. That's $0.45 /gallon extra for premium gas! That's a ton. That is not insignificant and it is not paid for by the mileage increase of...
  20. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

Yeah, but I don't want those things on my V6. That's my bug.
