  1. 18 GT sized engine@40kmiles? Excessive oil consumption between changes and helpful rebuild threads please 🙏

Bought new with 300 miles on it? I bet that was a rough 300 miles being passed around the dealership employees! Possibly doomed from the start.
  2. One product for someone who's NOT obsessive (but wants a nice shine)?

Must be careful with anything containing ceramic coating. If you don't apply and remove it properly, you will have dullness and very difficult to remove streaks. Number one priority here is don't apply it out in the sun, especially in Florida!
  3. Tires for autocross

285/35/19 Bridgestone RE-71RS are currently the way to go and are cheaper at Discount Tire than Tire Rack, which is wierd because they are the same company. I had a set installed at a local Discount Tire a couple of months ago. Ordered them and scheduled install online. Or from Tire Rack -...
  4. MMR's Grip Kit for 2015+ ON SALE NOW!

What are the four nuts and bolts shown for? Not detailed on website...
  5. Mirror studs spinning any solutions?

As someone else mentioned, should be able to remove the nut by holding the stud with a needle nose vicegrip to get it started. Once the nut removal is successful, then the bolt heads can then be drilled out with a drill as long as there is relatively straight access, which appears to be the case...
  6. Good price for lowering spring install?

If you are lowering the car, don't forget camber plates for the front. I bet the front bushings on the rear lower control arms are torn also, if you have more than 10k miles on them. I really got into the "while I'm at it" mode when I installed springs (myself)... Car was on the QuickJack for...
  7. Mirror studs spinning any solutions?

Unless that mirror took a hit and was wobbly when you brought it in, it is highly likely that the shop hit the fasteners with an impact gun and "broke em" loose. Is it wobbly on the door now? If it is the impact gun (wrong tool for the job) scenario, it should be on them to rectify.
  8. What phone mount are you guys using?

AAWireless is good stuff. They have units that support both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Bought one for wife's Escape. I don't daily drive the Bullitt, so just use the USB there...
  9. Repairing The MAF Pigtail on S550

Find someone in a local Mustang club with a similar car and take a look under their hood? Or even find one at a used car lot...
  10. Rear lower control arm bearings and railroad tracks?

That is your new normal now. The squishy rubber bushings isolate those impacts, that's why it comes that way from the factory. Mine were also torn at 24k and I installed the same bearings. To me they are a big positive improvement. I autocross.
  11. What phone mount are you guys using?

Don't you use Android Auto or Apple Car Play? My phone stays in the rubber cubby in front of the shifter until parked, plugged in via the usb in the center glove box. No need to be looking at phone until then... If I had a car without Android Auto / Car Play, I would probably get one of those...
  12. Sway Bar Front end links

Swivel of link is normal. Up / down / in / out is not. If it is an occassional loud popping sound, then it may be loose and sliding in the mount. The stock links are pretty terrible. Moog has replacements with grease fittings for about $20 each. I bought my from the jungle website, because I...
  13. Mach 1 down :(

As alluded to above, once the insurance company is notified, the damage is done to your insurance rate. Might as well let them pay to fix it now... Similar to if a police report is filed for an accident and you don't go to insurance, it is still logged on your and the car's record. Once it's...
  14. FP shifter kit + Steeda transmission bushing & shifter bushing

Steeda transmission bushing and shifter bushing does not cure high rpm shift lockout. The transmission bushing seems like a good idea, but the shifter bushing did very little. I am still running the transmission bushing, but with a Blowfish shifter bracket.
  15. Which shifter should I go with?

I have been using the Blowfish bracket with stock shifter for over 20k miles. It completely cured high rpm shift lockout issues. The only time I've heard any related noise is if lugging the engine at too low of an rpm, which is a bad thing to do to these engines. I do have the Steeda poly trans...
  16. Exhaust clamp question

This style works well. https://www.steeda.com/steeda-60-9925-101-premium-heavy-duty-exhaust-coupler-pair Vibrant sells 3 in size also. Torque spec is about 35 ft lbs. Don't use impact wrench...
  17. What's your secret to parking so you don't get door dings?

I park the Bullitt in my garage and take the pickup to the store! Otherwise good advice in this thread. Park far out and / or park next to the cleanest / nicest cars you can.
  18. Front strut replacement problem

Interesting about the balljoint press. I was thinking to try this when I swap springs in the next couple of weeks. Good to know it works.
  19. Front strut replacement problem

Do not heat struts with a torch! They can / will be damaged internally. In an extreme situation they could become over pressurized and explode fluid.
