  1. Tracking the EcoBoost

I track my EB at HPDE events a fair amount. I, for one, love it. I have passed a number of GT's during these events, but that's probably the driver (not that I'll all that). I believe the PP is a must. I've had very little trouble with the stock GT brakes on the lighter car. But I've also...
  2. Highest mileage ecoboost?

32K since new. Tuned at roughly 16K. Cobb OTS stage 1. Planning on hitting up Adam this summer. Track 7 times last year. Hasn't missed a beat.
  3. Ecoboost...tuned power numbers and long term needs/problems?

I'm surprised that there seems to be not a single vote for the Ecoboost. I absolutely love mine. I don't regret the choice even the tiniest bit. I have tracked the car 7 times in 2016 and frequently passed GT's with relative ease and while their stopping for gas on the way home, I'm cruising...
  4. Where can I go to the track and what do I need to know?

  5. Where can I go to the track and what do I need to know?

Summit Point is less than a 2 hour drive from Baltimore. They have 3 different tracks to choose from at one location: Main, Shenandoah and Jefferson. NASA and SCCA run there along with many other owners clubs (Porsche, BMW, Audi). Most tracks will have track day primers on their website...
  6. Help an EcoNOOB

I have a very early 2015 build. It just turn 31K miles and I have done almost everything wrong. I've mod'd it, I've tuned it with a stock Cobb tune(stage 1), I used regular gas for the the first year of ownership (until the 93 tune), and I've tracked it (8 HPDE Events). I've had it over 155...
  7. Northeast Ohio s550's

Can't wait! Nothing like a little low speed drifting to brighten my day.
  8. Clutch Recommendation for Ecoboost

Somewhat amazingly, the forum was a little slow to respond to my post. So I went ahead and purchased a McLeod RST twin disc. I got an awesome black friday deal from Team Beefcake Racing. It might be a little more clutch than I need, but it has certainly come highly recommended. I went to...
  9. Disc Brakes Australia USA LLC

Has anyone tried DBA brake discs? If so, what pad did you go with? I recently tried the Power Stop Z26 pads on the stock rotors and although not to bad, I have a ton of pad residue on the rotors after a track day at Summit Point. Thanks for your input.
  10. Ordered RST Clutch for Ecoboost - Can't find Flywheel Bolts

The title says it all. I was hoping to go with ARP flywheel bolts for that added margin but can't find a specific application. I imagine they are similar to the GT bolts, but you can't be too careful. Anybody know the specs on the Ecoboost Flywheel bolts? Diameter? Thread pitch? Length...
  11. tire size input (FS)

Saw a guy badly chuck a set of Conti's at the track this summer. Even on sale these would be may last choice. I'm on Pilot Super Sports at the moment, but there longevity has not been what I expected. I'll be looking into a set of BFG's in the spring.
  12. 2016 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals!!!

Dear Santa, All my 2015 Deep Impact Blue Ecoboost Mustang wants for Christmas is: Clutch (McLeod RST unless someone can recommend something better) Short Throw Shifter - Steeda Tri-Ax or MGW DSS Aluminum DS Project 6GR wheels - Not sure exactly what size, but something in a 19" square. Ford...
  13. Clutch Recommendation for Ecoboost

Howdy, Coming home on the PA Turnpike from the last of 8 track days this year I experienced some clutch slipping. It's not bad and I can probably ride it out until spring time, but if I have any hope of doing more track days next year I'm gonna need a clutch. I have seen very few...
  14. BG ULTRA-GUARD LS 75W-90 REAR AXLE LUBE - Anyone tried one?

Ton of info to read through to get to the information I needed, but thanks. Looks like I'm going to have to drain out 400ml. :frusty:
  15. Differential Fluid Change Question

In anticipation of a track day next weekend (Summit Point), I decided it was well past time to change the differential fluid. Checked the owners manual for the capacity (1.5L), bought the appropriate fluid which came in 1L bottles, so, I bought two. Drained the fluid. Replaced the plug and...

  17. Northeast Ohio s550's

Home of the world famous Randolph Fair! So what do you guys like to do with your S550's besides the obvious? I've be doing track days at Waterford Hills, and on Nov 11th I'm heading down to Summit Point for the last track day north of the Mason-Dixie line for 2016. I'd like to find some...
  18. Running in the Rain - Tire Pressures

As it turn out it was a torrential downpour for most of the morning. My first session was only 3 laps as they red flagged us after someone clouted the wall coming out of the Esses. I could have been running balloon tires with 3 psi in them and it wouldn't have made any difference. Pretty much...
  19. Running in the Rain - Tire Pressures

It looks like I'm going to be running in the rain this Sunday at Waterford Hills. Not the most exciting of prospects but, any track time is a good time. Should I be running generally lower pressures in the rain than in the dry? Last time I ran in the rain, I had zero pressure build over...
  20. Nitto NT01 or NT05

I'll be at Waterford Hills this Sunday for the last OTD of the year. You? I'm running Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I've been pretty happy with the available grip and for the most part the wear.
