This may be nitpicking, but your thread title makes it sounds like this is actual Sync 3, which may get Car Play/Android Auto in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not Sync 3, just a Sync 3 styled interface. I would hate for someone to buy expecting to get CarPlay or Android Auto...

Chasing bugs may not be that easy. It depends on how the software was written, and a few other factors. Just because it is Win CE doesn't instantly make it easy. Win CE is still just the OS.
In my area I see a decent amount of s550's but most are V6 or EB. Seems weird since the major Ford lots have quite a few GT's on them.
Then again, I had to go to Oklahoma to get mine since the lots here only seem to carry fully optioned 401A GT's, and not 6 speeds to be found. That could...
So you are betting a company that specializes in selling Chinese knockoff products is going to update software? I wouldn't bet on it.
The Sintegrate unit integrating with AC controls shows knowledge of interfacing with a CAN bus. This alone instills more confidence in me than Tomtop...

Hehe
When you say car dealer, do you know if they mean a car dealership, or could a sound shop/aftermarket shop place order them? I was just thinking, I have a buddy that owns an aftermarket business on the side, and would surely order these for me, and possibly others.

'15s didn't have Sync 3, to the best of my knowledge. They were Sync 2 w/ My Ford Touch. '16s have a completely different operating system, and hardware.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't count on an update to correct your issues either. The Zune has been discontinued for a few years now, and...
It depends on how aggressive the tuner was. If they didn't program in any give then it could be bad. With how much variation there can be in gas from place to place I can't see a tuner being so aggressive that one octane would make a huge difference, but better safe than sorry.
