Chasing bugs may not be that easy. It depends on how the software was written, and a few other factors. Just because it is Win CE doesn't instantly make it easy. Win CE is still just the OS.

I had to drive ~100 miles to find a GT Manual, much less one with the Performance Pack.

Any hope/timeline for us base model folks? I have been following a few different threads, and seem to have my wires crossed.

It depends on how aggressive the tuner was. If they didn't program in any give then it could be bad. With how much variation there can be in gas from place to place I can't see a tuner being so aggressive that one octane would make a huge difference, but better safe than sorry.
