  1. I hope not - Autoweek: next generation is last ICE Mustang

Rome was not built in a day. Just like EVs won't be 100% of new vehicle registrations for another 10-15 years. The transition is not a 'consecutive' thing. Lots of initiatives need to occur concurrently or we'd still be on the transition trail 100 years from now. A lot of progress has already...
  2. I hope not - Autoweek: next generation is last ICE Mustang

Folks keep bringing up fossil fuel fired electricity as a reason why NOT to go EV. I think that is an excuse rather than a reason. Coal generation will continue to decrease as plants are amortized and go obsolete, all replaced by renewables, and potentially more nuclear, and potentially massive...
  3. I hope not - Autoweek: next generation is last ICE Mustang

I think folks here like CobraJet don't understand how rapidly EV technology will unfold once a critical mass of EV production gets underway. Smartphones and LED TVs are a few good examples and the supporting infrastructure comes with it, e.g. 5G mobile technology and expanded coverage into...
  4. Look what I discovered in my 22! 🤨

Leave well enough alone. No one can really feel the loss of 2.1739% of the previous 460 horses.
  5. Its about that time..

Indeed I was agreeing with you in my 'supporting' post.
  6. Its about that time..

I don't know that any premium is likely. Mods can be done poorly and I would be highly suspicious of a blown engine. Why was that? Beating the hell out of the vehicle? Lack of maintenance? What does that say for the rest of the vehicle? Truth be known, I'd likely pass entirely on this one...
  7. Its about that time..

Markets tend to have regional differences. Try looking at AutoTrader for your region for your model and relative condition, and see what might be an appropriate "range".
  8. So, Ford Authority says ‘24 Mustang “approaches” 500 hp!

Not only electric. It looks like the ICE may well remain in parallel. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/07/30/dodge-challenger-charger-v8-engines-continue/
  9. Floored my new mustang at 650 miles and worried something got damaged

If you have ever been to an assembly plant, the 'kids' that are employed to drive them off the final inspection station to the holding lot certainly don't baby them. They hit the throttle as they pass out the plant door and screech it out to the lot. I would assume every engine is dyno tested...
  10. 2019 passenger rattle noise

These vehicles have incessant and numerous rattles. It is a function of poor design and assembly quality. Until Ford invests more than $2 in additional effort to upgrade their interiors, we might as well just resign ourselves to riding inside a toy box. Recognize that we purchased a low cost...
  11. 5.0 Active exhaust vs std 5.0 exhaust

Beauty and value is in the eye of the beholder. I agree with post #9 that non-AE is probably in the middle for most driving speeds.
  12. 5.0 Active exhaust vs std 5.0 exhaust

Perfectly happy with standard exhaust on my street car. Active exhaust is primarily another set of controls and moving parts to go wrong. The main plus would be Quiet mode for use in quiet neighborhoods.
  13. Rattling/knocking at low RPM

It could be something as simple as a loose line banging against a structural member or drive train housing at that particular engine vibration frequency. That is when drive train vibrations are most likely to occur, low rpm under load or engine braking.
  14. Amusing Reactions to your Mach 1

Okay...fair enough. Anecdotally, I've read a number of articles about tracking (steering) issues with uneven pavement, undulations, ridges, etc.
  15. Amusing Reactions to your Mach 1

I am of the view the Mach 1 is a nice track car but is an uncomfortable handful on the streets. I gave it brief consideration Fall of 21 when I ordered my GT. A review here https://driving.ca/reviews/road-test/road-test-2021-ford-mustang-mach-1
  16. Impressions on new deliveries of 2022’s

I've had mine for 19 days now and it has seen ~6200 or so (10AT) 3-4 dozen times on WOT to about 130kph (81mph). About 450km (281 mi) on it so far. Just had to try it a few times.
  17. Any meetups this year? Vancouver BC

You may wish to peruse the Greater Vancouver Mustang Association https://www.gvma.org /items
  18. CARBONIZED GRAY S550 MUSTANG thread

My new beast with the Black Accent package.
  19. Is this transmission or engine issue when car feel like brakes are on when coasting?

There is no set period for brake replacement. It depends on a wide variety of environmental and driving factors. Many auto shops will do a free brake check, or included as part of a tire rotation.
  20. Made It Home!

I told my dealer not to put any dealer logo stuff on mine when I ordered it and they honored that request.
