Alright so I have the factory active on my 20 GT. I did a res delete h pipe back in May. Loved the sound, still like it a lot…. but it’s not as inspiring as it once was. I drive around in track mode everyday without fail just to have that sound im looking for. I’m thinking of MBRP Race Catback...
I’ll try a small incline later. Of note, I haven’t really noticed it since. I was on the brakes a lot that morning because the roads were soaked, so yea I may have been riding them.
Yea I’m leaning heavily towards that being the issue. I didn’t notice the smell on the drive home. Checked the dipstick and the oil looked and smelled normal at the appropriate level. Does only the caliper have to be replaced or is there more (or less) involved?
I wouldn’t put it past myself to have not clicked the dipstick in to place when I hurriedly checked the oil a few days ago, so I’ll definitely check that before I leave work.
Hey yall, I need your mechanically inclined thoughts. I noticed this morning a burning smell coming from my front driver side wheel well, after a 35 minute drive. At first I smelled it when I rolled down the window to badge into the parking garage, and I thought either me or somebody else is...
Not gonna lie, I’ve had this exact fear with my car almost since I bought it. The trans is what I have least faith in. Unfortunately, I have no valuable insight to provide. I’m just sorry you’re caught in such a mess. I hope things workout for the best.
This may not be helpful for you, but my 10 speed has about 36k miles. I bought it at 28k. I think it was low on fluid when I got it. It’s been wonky and weird since I’ve had it, complete with every complaint lodged against the 10 speed and an added bonus of doing this jarring pop/bang on startup...
I’m gonna take my A10 in to try and rule out mechanical issues again, but if there’s nothing mechanically wrong, I’m doing what you did. I’m sick of this thing “learning” to chew itself up and drive like a clunker.
I hear what you're saying, but just like Jstang said, Ceratec shuts the tick up. Even if the tick is not indicative of a problem, its irritating and sounds like your late model $40,000 car is a lemon. If anything, Ford needs to investigate why adding the Ceratec quiets a supposed "normal...
This dealer offers the Works package too, and that's what I usually do. I'll stick with it. By chance, have you opted to use the full-synthetic Motorcraft oil when you take yours in?
