  1. Took Delivery of Race Red GTPP

Congrats on the ride. The GT looks very comfortable in that group.
  2. My GT will arrive in Jan. I'm torn over keeping my GTI or selling/trading it in.

85K is not high mileage these days. I have 114K on my Audi and it still drives like new. You just dropped $3500 for a new tensioner(why so much? did you also change timing belt, waterpump, etc... ?). If you sell now, the new owner can potentially enjoy your GTI for many years before having...
  3. So I attempted to buy a Mustang today...

Hope you do not get any snow on the way. I would be nervous driving summer tires during freezing weather.
  4. Mustang bucket list

I went to the event in Austin and only got to drive a circle around the mall at 25mph. No GT demos either due to lack of space in the parking lot. What are the biggest positives of the Ecoboost compared to your TT? I am very interested in your opinion since I have a 99 A4 (original owner)...
  5. Front windshield weatherstripping

Anyone know why the Mustang no longer has weatherstripping around the windshield? It does not seem to affect wind noise. Just looks a bit unfinished and might be harder to keep clean. I noticed that newer Audi's have a special molding onthe inner A pillars to force any excess water over the...

  8. FORD PLEASE READ - PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT

Until Ford adds such a feature your MyKey options are: 1. configure a speed warning: Vehicle speed minders of 45 mph (75 km/h), 55 mph (90 km/h) or 65 mph (105 km/h). Once you select a speed, it will be shown in the display, followed by an audible tone when the preselected vehicle speed is...
  9. Previous forum stalker now owner!

Very nice. Are you going to add side stripes as well to complete the look? Can you post a close up of the wheels?
  10. My first mustang!

Any good reason why you drive around without insurance? Haven't had time is not a valid reason, since you had time to go pick up the car. Just saying. Congrats on the new ride. Big step up from the torque steering Mazda for sure.
  11. Finally was able to see the new GT in person but So Disappointed. READ BELOW

Maybe Ford needs to hire this guy: http://www.autonews.com/article/20080623/ANE03/46594339/meet-the-meticulous-mr.-schmitt I thought Ford/GM/Chrysler have always been known for having less strict QC. Before driving off from the dealer lot every buyer needs to closely examine the car in broad...
  12. Finally was able to see the new GT in person but So Disappointed. READ BELOW

How do such panel gaps get past QA? They must have seen it and said " oh well , good enough".
  13. Finally picking up new GT tomorrow

Amazingly, I think he is legit. Now considering his driving style and dealing with traffic conditions NYC the smarter decision would be buying a Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt or equivalent. Or just take public transportation and rent a Mustang for any weekend trips.
  14. 2015 Mustang GT PP vs. 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE

    Summary of times set by Randy Pobst at Streets of Willow for various cars: 1:19.55 2012 Nissan GT-R 1:22.53 2013 Jaguar XKR-S GT 1:22.70 2012 Camaro 1LE 1:22.81 2015 Camaro 1LE 1:23.48 2010 Mustang GT500 1:24.32 2015 Mustang GT 1:24.85 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S 1:25.71 2013 Chevrolet SS...
  15. Test drive impressions compared to my BMW 335i

A 10 second difference to obtain 130mph. I am still amazed (and disappointed) by those numbers. Once the Ecoboost hits 100mph it seems to be stuck. It takes an extra 7+ seconds to reach 130mph compared to the 335. Not that important in the real world but what the heck is happening there?
  16. SCT Performance Dynos Ecoboost Mustang (with and without tune)

Car and Driver track sheet from June 2014: http://media.caranddriver.com/files/2015-audi-s3-sedan-instrumented-test-review-car-and-driver2015-audi-s3-sedan.pdf
  17. SCT Performance Dynos Ecoboost Mustang (with and without tune)

Hmm, the stock hp number is quite low at 231. The tuned number is more in line with what I expected the stock engine to have. That might explain why the Ecoboost is so slow in going from 0-120 mph at around 23 seconds. A stock Audi A3 2.0T (a small family car, not that sporty) does it in less...
  18. Track Day Fun In A GT PP

Wow, that Tahoe (police car?) looked pretty comfortable on the track.
  19. Track Day Fun In A GT PP

If anything the video showed how easy the S550 is to drive at a nice pace (e.g. not killing the tires in 10 laps with overzealous sliding). The stability looks really good and not much visible weight transfer.
