  1. Gas pump not locking?

My car does this sometimes, about once every 3-4 fill-ups. Usually it happens when I fill up with a half tank or more still remaining (I never let my car go to less than a 1/4th of a tank). Not sure what causes it though.
  2. mufflers question

I agree with this. I have the Sport Catback also, and the reviews are spot-on. CJPP has some good videos as well. If you like the sound, which can be a little raspy, I think you'll be happy with this. Also it's suprisingly quiet on the highway (great for me since I take a lot of long trips and...

  5. Manual Transmissiom

Yeah, calling it "creep assist" or whatever is annoying to me too. I think anything with enough low-end torque to push the car at idle rpm should be able to do this. Hell, my Mustang will coast in 2nd without giving it gas (3.73 gears, so still pretty slow). Just like driving a tractor.
  6. Insurance agent just made my day!

GAP won't change your loan/interest at all. It should around $100 for a policy (if they are trying to charge you more than $200, they are ripping you off). I would always buy a GAP policy if I either finance the entire cost of my vehicle (no trade in) or have really high comp/collision...
  7. Illinois-Chicago

Man, that sounds great. About like mine (FRPP Sport Catback) except a bit deeper. I can barely hear mine when highway cruising too, until I go to pass someone!

  9. Those with winter tires already installed

Ah, good ol' misery weather, something I don't miss. I got Blizzak LM60's, and I'm not real impressed with the traction. It's dry and 46 degrees today, and I broke them loose just giving a little extra gas in 4th gear. They are 10x better than the p-zeros in the cold though. Not sure about...
  10. Frozen Parking Brake

Kind of a silly question, but has anyone else had any issues with their parking brake freezing overnight? Mine is stuck every morning and makes quite a loud pop when I leave, and it's been mid-30's around this area every night. I have a manual transmission, so I'll probably stop using it...
  11. First manual car: how do I get rid of the "notchy" feeling?

You could always try a heavier knob. It won't fix the issue, but you won't notice it quite as much. You can get a decent one for less than $100.
  12. Winter tire opinions - What do you use?

My winter tires are 255/45 on the front and 275/45 on the rear of my GT PP. No rubbing but there's probably only about 3/4 inch of clearance in the front. 255/50 might be pushing it in my opinion.
  13. Do you keep your stock tire pressure sensors?

The TPMS Sensor is located on the outside of the rim underneath the tire. In order to reuse the sensors currently on the car, you would have to take each tire off of the wheel in order to remove it. So it's usually easier just to buy new ones if you are not reusing the current tires and don't...
  14. Weathertech floorliner digitlfit laser measured floor mats

No, they come in a small bag in the box (I didn't even notice them at first when I took them out of the box). They basically attach around the small pegs on the floorboard to make them bigger, then the mats fit over top. Kind of hard to describe, but hopefully that makes sense.
  15. Weathertech floorliner digitlfit laser measured floor mats

Mine don't "snap" onto the pegs, but they did come with little plastic pieces that go around the pegs, and the floormats fit directly onto those. I didn't notice those plastic attachments at first, and the mats were sliding everywhere without them. With those on though they don't move, so I have...
  16. CJ Pony Parts Shift Knob

I would be weary about ordering until you hear back. Threads look to be correct, but it doesn't say anything about retaining the reverse lockout functionality (the older mustangs you push down on the shifter to reverse). Here's one that is similar to the 50th and doesn't need an adapter (has...
  17. CJ Pony Parts Shift Knob

I got this one in white: http://www.cjponyparts.com/shift-knob-2-1-8-with-shift-pattern-6-speed-2014-2015-fiesta-st-2013-2015-focus-st-2015-2016-mustang/p/MSK402-V/ You don't need the adapter with this one, so it doesn't sit any higher than the stock knob (it is bigger though, but about perfect...
  18. Cancelling an extended warranty…question.

In theory, you are correct. Very little coverage (if any) has been provided after 5 months. However, cancellation policies have to be written into the contract and approved by the states (many see these as a type of insurance contract, so language is regulated), and pro-rata is typically what is...
  19. Question about the window sticker.

I don't think any Base GT comes with Sirius XM. Not sure why it would say it on your window sticker though. This may seem like a dumb question, but you are not confusing Sirius with Sync, correct? If it does says Sirius XM on your window sticker, you might also want to double-check that it is...
  20. Cancelling an extended warranty…question.

Yeah, many dealerships have 3 or 4 different warranties they can sell that are exactly the same in terms of coverage. But the price of a warranty provided by a third party is usually cheaper than the Ford warranty. So they try to sell these first since: 1. They can add a larger markup to the...
