I just travelled 600 miles yesterday, all hwy with my ā18 auto GT with adaptive cruise control at 78mph (so average speed a little less) and got 28.0 MPG.
I picked up my 2018 GT with 8K mi. on Friday (5/17/19) for $15K under invoice - Ford Pre-owned, so an extra year warranty added. Oxford White. My first Mustang. Original owner: Ford Corporate Fleet - Dearborn.
I love me some heavily optioned slightly used Detroit Muscle.
OMG... yesterday on a 600 mile drive I had this exact issue with a Prius... slowing down, speeding up... it was driving my adaptive cruise control crazy. I finally just had to gun it (the Mustang) up a 2 mile long hill to be done with it.
I think that is just the 2019 with the weak horn. My 2018 horn is pretty beefy.
BTW, Vega Plexus spray cleaner is great for cleaning/maintaining plastic... I use for headlights but also excellent on back black plastic panel.
OK, 1300 miles in the past 2 days and just got home, 1/2 on my new (to me) 2018 vert... just finished washing the bugs off.
Carfax showed original owner was "corporate fleet" - Ford HQ Dearborn

^^^ Why I bought a Vert with active exhaust. Between my car and watching a gazzilion video reviews I think the OP should get things checked out... I don't think most people hear an exhaust leaking sound in Normal.
I'm trying to confirm how many of the Performance 1 pack parts already comes standard in the '18 and newer verts. Since I have an '18 with blackout package on the way to me, I know it has 19" wheels, the K brace and some other parts. What is missing? For a little over $100 I already bought on...
My wife and I are getting a 3rd car to tool around our waterside town in the summers, and are finally picking up this vert this week from out of state. Weāve had nearly a month wait because our out of state lender in a 3rd state requires seeing their name as lien holder on my home state title...
As a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner as well, I can tell you the fever to mod that Tonka Toy is great. However, my observation is that in most cases the OEM spec vehicle tends to drive better on the street than the result of a performance mod, or even appearance mods. Now if actively dragging or...
