  1. GT350R vs 1LE

I considered it too. Great power to weight ratio but that FPC is just so special in comparison. A few things that having nothing to do with performance are still the big weak points to me. 1. Rear styling is too mundane. Front end looks pretty cool but the rear has no drama. 2. Still a...
  2. GT350R vs 1LE

A lot of you peeps get heated about this. Do we get something if the GT350R is faster (which it probably is) or even wins BDC (which it has a good shot at)? Camaro 1LE is cool and should be a good track car. Might be faster than a standard GT350 too. Pretty sure it will be so close that the...
  3. 2017-18 Shelby GT350 / GT350R Mustang Orders Placed (Vote/Share Here)

I think that would be considered a competitive price for 2017s right now. MSRP deals have been pretty tough to come by thus far unless it is a leftover 2016.
  4. 2017 GT350 Pricing

    Ah, you are correct sir.
  5. Any 350 buyers getting a Focus RS?

The word "hero" gets tossed around a lot...but with your collection I don't think it would be going too far.
  6. 2017 GT350 Pricing

The price of '16 Tech vs. '17 Convenience Pack is only about $1K difference. Pretty reasonable upcharge to get the coolers.
  7. If money was not a limitation, would you really purchase the 'R' over the GT350?

Money no object - of course the R. Though I echo the concern about having wheels damaged/stolen. Not to mention that Pilot Sport Cups are not the best tire for a street car. Even in sunny California we can get morning temps in the 20s -30s. So I like the idea of a nice forged wheel for the...
  8. 2017 Build Dates

I ordered late April and nothing yet either.
  9. Any 350 buyers getting a Focus RS?

I only live about 45 mins away from Hueneme - should I try and break it out for you? :D
  10. Recent Trade In

For reference, a 997 GTS sells for more than a newer 991 Carrera S. Last of the "analog" 911s with naturally aspirated motor and hydraulic steering. And with relatively low production will always be collectible. PDK is so good the manuals may not demand a whole lot more but certainly appeals...
  11. The Down and Dirty ADM Thread

Until these are completely out of production we won't really know...but eBay is a good resource for current market and I think that is in the ballpark.
  12. Seeking R Ordering advice

You can't go wrong either way. Both are great combos. If I hadn't been in love for so long with the classic Shelby color scheme AG/Black OTT would have been my choice.
  13. GT350 or BMW M4

The M4 probably suffers a fate similar to my F30 335i - it is a great car in many objective ways - but has lost a lot the driving characteristics that BMWs used to have. The relative performance of the M2 should be telling - the M3/4 barely weighs more but with all that extra HP is not much...
  14. 2017 "R" $8K over, worth it?

I've got a rule on leases - if your monthly payment with $0 down is less than 1% of the MSRP it is a great deal. .77% is amazing. For, comparison a Panamera lease (and probably E63 as well) is probably closer to 2%. $930 isn't affordable to a lot of folks but that is darn cheap for a big boy car.
  15. Cotus down ;(

Any my Ford Explorer was just delivered last week...I have a feeling they may recycle order #s each model year which is throwing things off.
  16. Avalanche Gray or Magnetic

I saw an AG with Black OTT in person and thought it looked great. I really like the muted tone - just seems more serious. No stripes and black roof probably even more so. The exclusivity is a big plus as well since you won't see it on a regular production Ford. A matching Raptor would make for...
  17. Why are there so many tech package GT350's?

Quick story from my car selling days: My sales manager ordered a Competition Package E46 M3 with the 19" wheel "upgrade". But, those actually replaced the really slick looking competition wheels with the regular 19" wheels almost every E46 M3 had instead of the base 18" rims. Why? Because...
  18. New engine for the new z/28 camaro

The Camaro debuted in September 1966. So, 49 years and 7 months ago. My apologies to the internet for rounding that up to 50 years.
  19. New engine for the new z/28 camaro

If Camaros didn't exist Mustangs wouldn't be this good. Direct competition for 50 years (except for that gap where Chevy was a no-show) leads to better cars on both sides of the fence. I hope the Chevy knocks it out of the park with the Z/28 cause it just means the next GT350 will have to be...
  20. Previous car just prior GT350

2013 BMW 335i...and really can't wait to get rid of it. Perfectly good as a German driving appliance but not an enthusiasts car anymore. Way too much understeer - outside of front tires are shot - needs way more negative camber like BMWs used to have. Transmission programming is terrible. All...
