Installed my new decklid (fox body-style "GT" decal and PPF'd). But now my backup camera doesn't work, and I'm left with a blue screen whenever I put it in reverse.
The problem is with both rear calipers in my case, and I snapped the passenger side cable. All are being replaced to the tune of around $800. Thankfully I saved the original cables, so the original passenger is going back in.
Mine didn't budge at all from what we could see. I'll absolutely keep you all posted on what the dealer says. I should hopefully hear back sometime tomorrow.
Well my parking brake broke this afternoon, so now it’s at the dealer and hopefully they’ll fix my headache for good, even if I won’t like how much it’ll cost.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A friend and I were inspecting the lever arms that actuate the pistons via the handbrake earlier and something went POP/SNAP...
I replaced and readjusted my cables earlier today, and I still can't get my parking brake to even hold the car on the slightest incline. The pads look more than adequate and the handle is nice and tight; maybe a bit too tight for my liking. What else is there I can do before I've gotta have the...
I got my '17 GT Premium Shaker/non-PP with 53k miles for 26900 two months ago. There's gotta be more lower mileage vehicles out there for a good price. Not sure if mine was a good deal, but I really wanted a Grabber Blue GT.
The parking brake on my '17 GT Premium (non-PP) has been useless for the last month, or since I got the car. I've adjusted the 10mm nut under the car for the cable's adjustment, the handle itself is nice and tight and even a struggle to pull all the way to the end of its travel, but the car...
I averaged 26-27ish MPG on the first drive home from the dealer two weeks ago. Since then, my current long term average is about 17.8-18.2 MPG around town with a very light foot and occasional spirited driving.
6spd manual with 3.31s
I think I'm now a member of the "Tick Team":cwl:.
My still new-to-me '17 GT Premium now has 54,000 miles. Didn't start ticking until after my first oil change (Motorcraft full synthetic) with it last week. I intermittently hear the tick at idle and when setting off between 800-1200rpm. At...
I got my LTH x-pipe installed Wednesday afternoon, which made adjusting my parking brake handle super easy today! It also developed a bit of an exhaust leak from the forward portion of the pipe this afternoon, and I'm hoping it's just a clamp that's loosened from heat cycles.
Awesome! Thanks for the help!
Regarding the "stock" tire sizes, My previous EB being a performance pack car had 19x9" with 255/40, and this GT has 18x8" with 235/50. I understand the head scratching though, just wanted to be extra sure but you did put things into perspective and I appreciate it!
On my '17 EB/PP with Steeda Progressives I used SVE S350 wheels (19x10 +40 offset) squared on Indy 500s (275/40/R19) as my summer setup. Regarding my new '17 GT Non-PP w/stock ride height and with no intentions of lowering it, I've got a few questions:
1. Would I have any issues using the same...
I traded in my Grabber Blue 2017 EB/PP for a Grabber Blue 2017 GT Premium tonight!
It’s been my favorite Mustang color since I first saw one as a kid, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own a GT in it! 😊
Yes it is (the only way I’ll drive a Mustang)! I’ve already got some ideas of what I’d like to regarding the MT-82 (Steeda bracket/assist spring, fluid change)
I’ve been looking since early fall and am aware of the how the used market has been atrocious as of late and last year relative to my local market.
To me, with the one-year color and options this car has, it’s a pretty good deal to me (better than what I saw last year) and preferentially...
I've owned my '17 Grabber Blue EB/PP since I ordered and bought it new back in 2016. Aside from the typical aluminum corrosion and a few other things, it's been a relatively reliable and wonderful first foray into Mustang ownership over the last nearly 5 years and 51,000 miles. However, I'm...
