Yeah, that 1G braking was my one and only try to see what I could get, so I expect it is probably capable of a bit more. I read somewhere you should get 1.1ish on a single corner. Don't think I will be trying that on a regular road, where over cooking it can be expensive....
Last weekend, I...
All's good. Now ask me how many times I have taken my 2006 VW Jetta 2.0T, DSG to redline (6,800). No idea, probably in the 100's...
The 10 speed tranny is going to get to redline very quickly. By comparison, the MT82 takes a while. I don't have the ratio's at hand, but I would say you have...
I think it's funny that you think it is funny that I know. Would you feel better about it if I said I had done 100's. It is not a daily driver and I don't redline that often. And I'm not talking about 7,000 exactly but shifts at or close to redline, which is anything above 7,000 rpm. I have...
….Well, tomorrow, August 1st, is the 1 year anniversary of the K0067 ("Gloria") in my driveway. 4,977.6 km later.
Mods have been pretty basic; hood struts, Sho n Sto, Ford Performance air filter, LED side marker's and back up light's. One oil change in April (Castrol Edge 5w20).
Overall...
….and on the BULLITT, redline in 4th is at max limited speed (163mph). I've redlined 3rd a couple of times, not sure I will get to redline in 4th....
When you say wot, do you mean close to redline (7,000)? or at lower RPM's. I've done maybe a dozen or so, most 2-3, but some 1-2, and have no issues. I don't expect them to be smooth, but their more than OK. I don't "dump" the clutch, but let it out pretty briskly... Lot's of fun....
It can be a bit "clunky" at times (once in a while), but I cannot say I have noticed rattle/grinding noise. I have just shy of 3,100 miles on mine. Overall it's pretty smooth...
Last Friday, was heading out of town on a 4 lane divided highway. I'm in the left lane and this older GMC Yukon pulls up beside me and sits there for a minute. it then drifts back and a few seconds later pulls up along side again. This time I look over, and see this youngish guy giving me a...
Generally around town and out on the freeway, pretty much like a granny, although I will partake this one on-ramp if it is clear. If I go too fast, I will deprive the people of the beauty of the DHG Bullitt….. But once out on the twisties, too bad, if you want to admire it, you have to keep...
Car and Driver has added the Bullitt to their long term fleet, saying "we believe it could be the best all-around Mustang ever"

If you are just talking about smooth shifting, then you need to watch the RPM drop after you press the clutch. The RPM will drop and pause at the correct RPM for the next gear. If you wait (and it seems quite a long time for the 1-2 shift), you will have smooth shifts.....the time on the 2-3...
