Road trip from Sep 29th. Had to get one in before the weather turns.....
  2. How many of you have NEVER owned a Mustang previously?

First Mustang, but not my first V8, or manual, or Ford, or domestic, or 2 door coupe...............
  3. How often do you guys see other Bullitts on the road?

Well saw one on the highway today. On Hwy 97 between Summerland and Peachland in the Okanagan!
  4. How often do you guys see other Bullitts on the road?

It the 2 years I have had mine, I have seen only one. I saw the same one twice in a one week period in the Spring , but haven't seen it since. I've seen two C8 Corvette's. There are very few of the earlier ones either, as it's very rare to see them either.
  5. Lots-o-Bullitts For Sale

Actually Yes. I got pulled over last year for not displaying a front plate (bad luck on my part as he had just finished writing another ticket as I came along) Anyway I looked it up and the fine for improperly displaying the plate is greater than not displaying it at all. So all depends on...
  6. B&O Sound Settings?

Yeah, I tried surround and didn't particularly like it. Much prefer the stereo sound. Call me old school, it's music, not a movie.
  7. Much less torque after 6000-6200 rpm normal or issue?

My mistake, I took that statement to mean it would not make redline. Definitely in 1st and 2nd if you have time to think "this is taking too long, I should upshift", then there is something wrong with the car It's possible something became overheated and the ECU reduced power until whatever...
  8. Much less torque after 6000-6200 rpm normal or issue?

You are not providing much info to go on. So you are saying the car will not reach redline? What gear are is this in? The car will not redline in 5th or 6th. If you are in any gear lower than 4th, redline should arrive arrive quite quickly. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in...
  9. Much less torque after 6000-6200 rpm normal or issue?

Agree. My Bullitt pulls all the way to redline....... It's was it's birthday on Saturday (2 years), so too it for a little spin. I was on a freeway on ramp in second and held 4,500 rpm until in straitened out, then floored it. It is like being shot out of a cannon!! Blink more than twice...
  10. Bullitt shift knob install issue

Yes, that is how it came......
  11. Can you tell the different between 87 and 93 octane?

Last week wasn't bad either. Today was great, lots of great moves, except for Leclerc on Vettel.....
  12. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Well the OP has been M.I.A. for over 12 months, otherwise we would be probably be closing in on 400 pages, probably 20-30 in the last couple of days....
  13. Who has a reverse LED bulb? Need your input, please.

I have the DD HP11 installed and it works as advertised. No issues.
  14. So what's the deal with the 2K-rpm rattle?

I am not sure you are too far off with this. It is really loose and rattles. I secured mine with some sticky backed heavy foam pads, and I do not have the 2K rattle. I have struts and did consider removing it. But for now it is still installed.
  15. 2019 Ford Bullitt rear end gears

The engines are built in Canada.
  16. Qs about the 2K rattle and low end torque

Well sure, higher RPM = more friction = more wear and tear. But, don't baby it thinking it will last longer, just drive normally....and don't be afraid to give it the beans once it a while. The engine has a 7,400 (7,500) rpm redline for a reason.... You would be doing your yourself and the...
  17. Qs about the 2K rattle and low end torque

This engine is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.... Above 4k, it's a different animal...... Just make sure you are away from traffic on a warm dry road and put your foot into it in 2nd at 4-5K... Maybe for your first time, just ease into it...if your not sure what to expect..... You wont be able to...
  18. Gear to Speed Limits

Well, if you are breaking in the engine, then RPM is what you want. I can't recall what the manual says, but I believe it is <5,000 rpm for the first 1,000 miles I do not know the max speed (red-line) in first is, but I believe 2nd = 73 mph, 3rd = 113 mph, 4th = 163 mph
  19. Seeking Octane Advice

I can somewhat understand people who DD their car putting in the cheaper gas to save money, but why buy a performance car and then not want all of the performance. I put 91 in my 2.0 Escape because I want all the HP, so for my Bullitt, it's 94 here in Canada.
