Wow! That's surprising. Maybe we should indeed book ASAP. I checked the area and found Kerrville less booked-up. Might be a good choice for us (also less expensive). Here is one of the web pages showing some reasonable choices...
Your comments about being a good handler for the FRS are esentially correct.... most agree that the FRS/BRZs are great for drifting fun and low-speed scooting about. Having test-driven both, however, I have to go with the turbo for sheer power (big difference in HP/torque for EB over twins) and...
Been checking out the B&Bs and motel/hotels in the Fredricksburg area....... under $100/rm is doable (motels mostly). To get lowest... need to double-up occupancy (share a room). Those that are going should google the choices so we can get of a like mind and make our reservations early as...
Route 16 is very deserted and hilly... not much civilization around to bother us or make it dangerous; however, a "moderate" pace will make the cruise more enjoyable and relaxing with more than enough of "sport" to test our 'stangs (as well as our skills). :D
Don't sweat the "pace"........ mostly curves, so exceeding the posted speed limits not a problem; however, the "recommended" speed indicated for each curve (safe for SUVs or pickups) may be easily exceeded. :D
A recap:
Depart DFW about 9:30 A.M. from a breakfast location in Ft Worth along I-20 or I-30.
Take I-30/I-20 to Hwy 16 (just west of Mineral Wells).
Have a really good curvy, sporty, scenic drive down 16.
Optional: just before Fredricksburg, take Farm Rd 965 loop down into Fredricksburg...
As far as looks go...... 2-dr sports coupes look similar; however, the large front hood and small back is definitely the "look" targeted by Mustangs for many years. Check this "Aston Martin" link out........

I can easily get 34 or more MPG hwy (on an interstate for example) IF I don't fool around..... well, can't help it..... so my average is usually around 30. By the way, same holds true for even a Prius... fool around (?) and your mileage tanks.
Glad you're OK. New parts+painting should be an efficient and good-as-new repair if no serious underlying structural damage. Keep us posted..... ..... Good Luck! :ford:
There are many classy B&B in the Fredricksburg area.... most have really nice breakfast/brunches included.... most a little over $100 (discounted). Motels are less expensive, but not as nice and most with no real breakfast included (we'll have to go to a restaurant). Check out online and then...
As discussed at our meeting last Sat..... we have a tentative schedule for a sporty cruise to Fredricksburg on February 27th (Saturday). We'll stay overnight at a bed&breakfast (TBD) and do the famous "Three Sisters" route just outside Kerrville on Sunday. We'll then head back on Sunday...
Sounds good...... every 2nd Sat at noon works for me (it's after the Ft Worth Cars&Coffee, so plenty of time for a brunch at Esparza's). I think everyone was pleased the meeting went so well..... a good group! By the way, be starting a thread tomorrow for the Fredricksburg Cruise.
:D
My wife and I had a great time too! Excellent people and those CARS!!! Photos just don't do them justice! Keep a watch on this forum because I'll be starting a thread for the Fredicksburg Cruise next week.
The premium package is definitely subjective on value. I have the 50-yr pkg and the premium pkg with auto/turbo and my wife and I LOVE this car as it is exactly. I didn't think I would care about many of the extras, but I've come to appreciate them with use. The fully adjustable electric...
I agree with the posters responding to the above statement from Magnaflow.... the resonator-delete (replaced with Y-pipe) is very common in many catback kits. The deeper exhaust note is a pleasant improvement to stock, and with my dual (Magnaflow) mufflers, not overly loud on throttle, but...
