Couple things rub me the wrong way about that article. Firstly, they'll replace them "free of charge"? Of course they will. It's their fault! Secondly, there's an internal memo that the parts will come November 30th. Whether that means they can order the 30th of November or the parts will be...
This is if they bought it the weekend of Black Friday or it went into early December as well? I think those of us with cars on hold will most likely not meet that window anyways.
Yeah, my dealer said the same thing. They wanted to do it, but they have no idea what the hell even needs to be replaced. That's honestly the most surprising aspect of this shit show. The withholding of information isn't allowing dealers to find a solution to the problem. I would imagine it...
Unfortunately, the problem is it's already been delivered. Also, the Shaker audio system comes with 9 and 12 speaker system. 400A is the 9 without the subwoofer. Don't know what the other two are, but the 401A has the subwoofer and an extra two speakers.
And floor mats are an extra I believe...
Question for you guys. I'm moving out of OK for NC a month from today. I just got the MBRP Street in the mail and want to install it. Do you think I should considering we're getting information that they won't even get to order the parts until the 30th? This whole situation has been a crapshoot...
There's no way. Holy hell. I'm moving in a month and might have to leave this car behind. I was going to have them throw on an exhaust this week while it's sitting there, but now I think I'm just going to give them the bad news.
I was stuck in the same position and ultimately decides on the MBRP Street because of what I needed from it. I wanted a loud exhaust at idle that was loud when I got on it but had no drone. The Race is said to have drone as well as the Gibson exhaust. If drone is a big no-no for you, I recommend...
The way I understand it, Olla, the cars that either stayed at the factory or got shipped back to it got the part replaced and will be ready to take delivery at the dealerships. The cars that got stuck at holding facilities that were closer to the dealer are slotted to get "fixed by the dealer"...
Yeah, I've kind of accepted I'm not getting this car for awhile. Everybody keeps asking me why it hasn't come in. They freak out when I say it's at the dealership, but I can't pick it up for another month. It even seems stupid typing it.
I don't understand when people rear end S550s. Did the two glaring searchlights in the back not warn you? They're bright as hell, so the only explanation is they were probably glued to their phone. Well, besides inclement weather, but that should be accounted for when driving.
Hey, Norton. Did the dealership get a go-ahead to pull parts off other cars from corporate? My dealer said they've done that before but don't think it'd be possible in this instance. I'm just wondering if corporate is going to be lenient in this case. Thanks.
Well, bad news for me at least. Car just got into the dealer. Turns out I need the seatbelt fixed. Do they have the parts on hand? Of course not. Will the parts come in soon? Of course not. Parts for the fix are to be delivered November 30th.
Words cannot describe how much I want to back out...
