Track mode to start, then settle into Drag once the engine warms up (if the weather conditions are right)...

All I can say is that drag mode on my 2020 ten speed (w active valve exhaust & cold air intake upgrade) is unreal, and even the 275s I put on can't keep up... The upshifting in particular is totally different than the other modes, gives you that kick at the end right before upshifting.

Yeah the specific issue I found was the shifting in the ecoboost just throws you back and forth like crazy, but that was an automatic so maybe the issue isn't so bad with manual.

I am assuming both you and your wife have already test drove the ecoboost, otherwise you’re probably in for a rude awakening - in which case, just have your wife drive an ecoboost (with performance back) then have her drive a stock GT… The difference is startling.
