  1. Guesstimate Repair Cost

Oh... Yea they did. I'm just saying that we had to use our insurance to cover that cost. Should have made that more clear. It's a ding on my insurance and she gets off with nothing. It's BS.
  2. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

Agree. I won't do a sunroof. Already close enough to hitting my head on it without one in the 6th gen. And with a helmet on? Forget it... I could lower the seat obviously... But I like to sit quite high up when driving. Would definitely have to sit quite a bit lower if I had a sunroof. Same...
  3. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

Yea, I was looking at them too before I bought the SS... Same issue. I liked them but getting in them was a pain. Once in I was fine though. I personally do like the whole man-spreading thing on long trips as well... One thing I wish we could get on the Mustang/Challenger/Camaro is...
  4. Guesstimate Repair Cost

Yup. Had someone hit us with no insurance. She still supplied an insurance card at the scene for the police officer... I guess that's all they check because it turns out it wasn't actually valid... We only found out later. The police? Eh. Nothing we can do about it. Really? Can't go...
  5. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

You clearly stated size matters and people like more room and said you were a big guy. You were discussing body proportions. Taller people need more room than shorter people. Skinny people need less room than fat people. Comfort is subjective. If it wasn't, everyone would sleep on plywood...
  6. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

Oh I don't disagree that the Corvette feels different than the Mustang/Challenger/Camaro. It's lower and definitely more of a paint to get into/out of. But once I was in I was just fine. Although I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs. Different body dimensions definitely effect how you feel in the car.
  7. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

Uh huh. And looks and comfort aren't subjective anymore. Also I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs. I'm not a Sasquatch by any means, but I'm tall enough.
  8. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

They aren't. I'm saying if you want a roomy vehicle, then a sports car isn't for you. Although I could argue that the challenger is pretty roomy. And I was pointing out how the amount of room for the driver was practically the same for the Corvette vs Mustang. That's all. I couldn't care...
  9. GT w/PP2 vs ecoboost in half throttle race

This rolling joke/discussion is almost as good/dumb as the "Where to get rocket-ship tips" one that went on forever over on C5...
  10. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

Exactly. A big complaint about the 6th gen Camaro was that it came with too many things standard which made it laughably overpriced on the entry level side... Yet, the cost of the vehicle is still lower overall than if you had the ability to add all the options individually. (At least in...
  11. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

If you're looking at a Corvette and your first priority is a really roomy interior you're doing it wrong. Go buy a Malibu or an Altima. That being said, the Corvette has about an extra half inch of legroom and slightly less headroom. Hardly worth writing home about and no where near the "way...
  12. 2018 Performance Pack - A big step BACKWARDS

This thing has the GT performance pack. It's got 435 horsepower. It goes 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds. (Sorry. That whole adding the performance pack just to say they have it made me think of this... lol)
  13. 2018 Mustang Price List (MSRP/Invoice): EB Starts at $25,585, GT at $35,095

Exactly. Eventually you'll see them discounted and at much more attractive prices. There's no way in hell I'd have paid MSRP for my car, but I was fine buying a used one with barely any miles on it for 13k+ under the original MSRP when it was new. I'm sure if I waited long enough I could have...
  14. 2018 Mustang Price List (MSRP/Invoice): EB Starts at $25,585, GT at $35,095

DCT..? (Edit: I'm genuinely curious on this one because all my brain can come up with is dual clutch transmission. Halp!)
  15. Safe & Smart Package

You'd think so... But generally no. Usually adding safety systems ADDS to the price of your insurance. Why? It's much more expensive to fix if it breaks.
  16. Dealer is BSing me on pricing, what should i expect to pay?

Just looking on cargurus I see plenty of Mustang GTs with $3-5k off MSRP. And then there's this... https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/new/searchresults.action?sourceContext=SearchResultsPage&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d2&zip=06010&distance=200#listing=174802139 I think the dealer is BSing...
  17. Any other "Camaro dream to Mustang reality" stories?

I think my issue is how I'm so used to the kick from the low end torque that the LS/LT OHV motors produce. When I test drove the new GT it felt slower to me compared to a OHV engine. This was back when the 6th gen Mustang had just come out. It was still plenty of fun though and compared to the...
  18. Do not panic. Do not close this thread

Oceans are the fabrication of the government. When planes fly from the US to Europe they actually fly in circles over a small section of water for 8-9 hours and then land around 100 miles from where they took off to give the illusion that the earth is round and much bigger than it really is...
