Stay strong, I'm not one to walk away from something unfinished. Anybody that follows our GTR parts development knows we are constantly improving and tweaking our designs.
I really like think the 6R80 has amazing potential, look at what it can take in STOCK configuration. The number of guys...
There's been a few unicorn products in the GTR market that have been talked about and not come to fruition. (Or heavily, heavily, heavily delayed.)
No question a billet block takes this platform to the next level, period. If MMR brings a product to the market that's QUALITY, it's a game...
7's and daily driver do NOT go together unfortunately when discussing a S550.
I can definitely see a mid to high 8 sec build as a daily, 100%.
Coming from the GTR community, there's lots of 8 sec cars out there that are very streetable.
With the added displacement of the Coyote, I see no...
What sort of power level do you realistically want?
If the sleeved coyotes are able to hold 1500whp and up to 2000whp with a partial fill, I don't see a need for a billet block unless your'e trying to make north of 2000whp.
That is true, but you do get upgraded forged rods/pistons over the factory motors.
If you goal is sub 1000whp, you'll likely be golden. I've got a customer locally with a TT 11-14 Coyote that has put over 20K miles on his Aluminator at 950whp for over a year with no issues.
If your goal is 4...
It's getting so popular here in OKC that Thunder Valley, our local 1/4 drag strip.....just added more starting lane, so they could accommodate more roll racing events this year. (Street Car Takeover, etc.)
No doubt though, the events are less frequent, as it is a newer form of sanctioned (if...
For those running a stock motor, I'd 100% advise adding some unleaded race gas in the tank for detonation resistance....but our factory cast pistons have been fine to 157mph in the 1/4 ;)
Key is good fuel when you're going to beat on the car.
Going out there, making hot lap after hot lap on 91...
And one of my favorite budget builds: Myles Turbo Integra
This thing was hurting the feelings of MANY 4 digit power cars last year!
The moral of the story, anyone can come out....at almost any budget range...and compete.
And the odds of you driving her home, with no broken parts, is 99%.

Guys, check out 1/2 Mile Racing, which is sweeping the exotic and Corvette/Viper communities.
It's MUCH MUCH MUCH easier on the cars and all you need is a Helmet ;)
I haven't broken anything yet, so the wear & tear on the car is no different than your average WOT highway pull.
To me, this is...
I hear you. I'm the exact same way.
Several have asked when the TH400 or Powerglide is going in, and there's ZERO chance of that happening.
I'm going to keep the 6R80 and once I find the current limit, I'll start designing upgraded parts for it.
My goal is an 8 sec daily driver, that I can...
Guys, just talked to the event coordinator this evening.
They have a FEW Roll Race Spots left, which was a blast last year.
1/4 of Roll Racing, starting at the gates at Royal Purple Raceway......getting up to 60mph roll, hitting it at the starting line....shutting down the 1/4 mile mark...
