I JUST noticed it ,Considering to iits literally been 13 months only since it was manufactured, it seems very quick for galvanic corrosion, on my Explorer it took 25 months for a very small raised bubble.
I just noticed it like 3 days ago, so I just need to watch it. Im only really mad...
Very good point GT Pony. If the center of those holes was white or primer color then that would mean the paint was broken where the corrosion started. But since the center of the holes is orange, that means that the paint was applied on top, so sealant slop is certainly a possibility, which...
2019 Orange Fury owner here... My car was made in April 2019 so it is only 13 months old and this is what i found under the hood. This adds to my 2017 Explorer which also has the same issue. The dealership said I can get a new hood no problem but I JUST got the whole hood covered with PPF for...
I had real problems with two shops that refuse to do the work because it was outside the box thinking for them. They also got mad that I brought my own tips to their shop. Heaven forbid you actually have to make a real measurement and make a real cut to make something work!
I finally got my black tips on. I bought 12 inch already finished black tips. I had a shop cut them to 6 inches and weld them on. I'm super happy with the look and the black paint did not get messed up at the cut. The welds are only at the back so the part you see is not messed up either. I...
what do you guys think of these? more expensive but I kinda like the "5.0"

Scuffed looks nice!
Is there a way to have them welded just in the back? I don't know how to weld so I would have a shop do it for me but I would like to buy black tips so if they just weld it in the back and might be okay
cant wait to see it man! i been busy with cold air intake, blacked out emblems, eibach pro kit, black mirror caps, and working on changing out the orange spoiler to a black spoiler...just need some damn exhaust tips!!!!
this is a fantastic idea. instead of the 2 fake tips we were originally trying to do!
any idea if a double walled would work the same wy? Since double walled is 4 inches OD, but not ID? Also, how did you cut the pipes?
thanks!
If the stock system was a little more straight, we could put any tips on. As it is I'm already over $300 and I don't have a solution. Any more money and I should have just bought an axle back magnaflow
Thanks for this armykyle. the guy who welded them on for me told me that when he tried to push them on harder they went all slanted and he could never get them to look straight from behind. I did call X-Force yesterday instead of emailing and I spoke to a technical engineer and he told me those...
So I finally got these put on and I can't say I'm satisfied. I cut the tabs off with a rotary tool and had them tack welded on but they stick out too far to look good in my opinion. And if we try to push them in more, they tilt towards the outside of the car and therefore don't look dead...
