Speaking as someone with a GT/CS and the 10 Speed, the Ford Performance tune, at least for my car, solved pretty much every gripe I had with the transmission. It shifts smoother, holds gears longer and all of the jerky downshifts when slowing to a stop have gone away. Not sure why Ford hasn't...

I'm 6'2" 270 pounds. I had tons of room when I sat in one. I actually had to move the seat forward and up a bit.

Based on the numbers, it should just as quick as, if not quicker, than the Ford GT. It will probably perform better on the track as well. I can't wait to see what the ZR-1 or Zora will be like. Good time to be a car guy.

I doubt that GM will do that. Sounds more like something Ford would and has done. The Ford GT comes to mind.....

The car is beautiful and I think it sound much more like a supercar (as it should) than the GT350. It's on another level. GT500 power with 5.5 liters and no supercharger. I want one!

Here's an example: A 69 GT500 did 0-60 in 6 second range with its old fashioned tires and suspension and went down the 1/4 in 14.3 seconds. Even an EcoBoost Mustang, on it's worst, day will do 60 in the mid 5 second range and the 1/4 in the mid to high 13's. Things change. Today is the true...

Sure, much higher compression, much less torque (by almost 100 ft-lbs.). 19MPG is hardly better gas mileage. I'm sure Ford could have increased power if it wanted to, but that's not the direction they wanted to go.

Yep, my 2.0L Golf R makes 437hp at the wheels. At least we can still make power if/when we want too --- except in California.

Just be thankful they aren't rated by wheel horsepower. ;)
