  1. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

Any upcoming sales or did I get boned by my paycheck not hitting until after Black Friday/Cyber Monday? 🤣
  2. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

Can anybody confirm that? They don't quite look the same. Steeda: DSS: Also, if I were to go with either of them, what hardware would I need to make the install go smooth? All the pictures of the DSS one show included hardware but is that everything?
  3. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

Alright, so that keeps DSS in contention for me. I know @beefcake had posted in the past about liking them, but I'm not sure if that's still true. The hardest launching I'm doing is getting on NJ Route 3 by Clifton Commons to get my arse home from work, so I think a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft...
  4. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

So, is the Steeda above the only recommendation for my use case (no racing but spirited driving)?
  5. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

So, that appears to be a different issue. My car makes a tapping (not quite banging) noise from just to the right of my butt. It's independent of the throttle and tracks with vehicle speed. It occurs when the car is not in gear, becomes audible at just a few MPH and stops at roughly 25mph. It...
  6. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

Just had the car on the lift this morning. That's what I was hoping for but I'm not that lucky.
  7. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

Well, I guess what I mean by inexpensive is that I don't need anything crazy for race purposes, which would increae the price for something I would have no use for. I don't need it to be lightweight and actually would prefer it to not be since my understanding is that lightweight shafts lose...
  8. Driveshaft recommendation? [Driveshaft carrier bearing shot: new driveshaft for non-race car?]

So, my driveshaft's carrier bearing makes a clicking noise from 0mph to about 25mph and it drives me nuts. I don't race the car but I do enjoy some spirited highway driving. As such, I don't need anything crazy as far as driveshafts. I'd like something one-piece with good build quality...
  9. 2022 GT turned off while driving on Highway

I don't know if this is related to the OP's issue, but I had a similar problem when the MAF sensor on my '15 slid off the CAI tube. Basically, it was sucking in air after the MAF so the car was running lean and it would stall out when not in gear (usually when coming to a stop). Did you ever get...

  11. Help me understand E85

Interesting... All the gas stations remove and reapply it around the same time... I think I need to do some digging!
  12. Help me understand E85

Gotcha... So, why does that ethanol sticker not perpetually live on the pump and instead seems to be a seasonal thing?
  13. Help me understand E85

Well, I base that upon the fact that the "Contains 10% ethanol" sticker isn't on the pump all year.
  14. Help me understand E85

So... Lemme ask this. Would turning on the flex tune help with the fact that there's summer blend and winter blend fuels where one blend is straight up gasoline and the other is 10% ethanol?
  15. Help me understand E85

Yeah, I tend to run 93, mainly because I always did with my '12GT, which was all stock, but my '15GT came to me modified, unfortunately without a complete list of all the mods (engine appears stock outside of the CAI, but I honestly haven't had the time to really go over every millimeter of it)...
  16. Help me understand E85

So, basically, E85 (if it were even commonly available here in New Jersey) wouldn't be the right option for my dailied GT, huh?
