I agree for the most part, the great thing about the S550 is that it's a balanced, approachable and useable car. The engine is the star and the aftermarket can take care of whatever handling shortcomings there are. It doesn't have the feel of a BMW but quite honestly BMW isn't the driver's car...

You might look at Magnaflow. They have one of the deeper exhaust notes.

When I'm driving backroads or just driving aggressively it's Metal or Hard Rock. Otherwise, I'm listening to Southern Rock, alt-Country, Outlaw, Texas Country or Red Dirt.

Have you considered doing the Ford Performance tune? I had it on my 15 EB and it made a real difference. For the 18's you get a higher flowing air filter and the tune. About the same price as some of these CAI's go for.

Unless you're planning to do a tune also, I'd just keep the stock CAI and get a higher flowing drop in filter. I use a AFE in mine.

I had the A6 in my 15 and I wasn't impressed with it until it was tuned. The A10 in my 18 is much better and the shifts are so much quicker.

A C8 would be the only car I would seriously consider trading in my car for.

I don't have active exhaust but I do have a x-pipe. The sound is loud enough and raw enough for an aftermarket exhaust to not be a priority to me. Eventually I'd like the Ford Performance Extreme cat-back with black tips but I'm in no hurry.

I've had mine for 6 months now and I still do. It puts a smile on my face when I fire it up and I find excuses to just drive around with no real destination. I like the sound of the Coyote and it's hard not to hoon it up a little.

My 2011 Mazda3 was nice but the 15 Ecoboost was much more fun and better looking. After a tune and some upgrades, I could of kept it long term but I'm glad I got my 18 GT, it's just a better car and better experience.

Why spend the extra money for a GT if you don't want to rev the engine out? Might as well get a Ecoboost or get something with a pushrod.

Yeah, I'm not expecting big hp gains but I am interested in the transmission tuning. I was impressed with the tuning they did on the A6 in my 15 Ecoboost I had previously.

Mazda has a couple of blue colors I think are pretty sharp and would look good on a S550. Eternal Blue Metallic and Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
