FYI, my car moved to the "In Production" phase on COTUS exactly 7 days before the blend date (which you'll see on your window sticker when it becomes available). So once it happens, you'll know you're about a week away.
Side note... my total was $1,517 for the complete set, which included shipping, Mounting, Road Force Balancing (significantly more efficient), Nitro-Fill and all taxes. Dealer is also going to store my summer tires for me at no additional cost since I live in a condo and have no room for them.
Yessir, those are the tires. I haven't gotten my car yet (supposed to be built this Saturday!!), but I bought the tires through my Ford dealership and he assured me they will fit. They're actually the brand that his shop guys recommended.
I bought a set of Blizzak LM-32's for my PP. They're the same specs as the summer only tires... 255/40/19 in the front, 275/40/19 in the back.
Runs about $1200... IMO, I'd rather have quality winter tires for my stock wheels so I don't end up in a ditch, rather than buying some cheap set...
Mustang Event Today at Citizens Bank Park
Just a reminder for all of you northeast folks, today is the "Mustang Bucket List Tour" stop at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Drove by it on my way to work and they're already set up! Runs from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Yessir, mine will be a daily (not all of us can afford a second car). Since I have the performance package with summer only tires, I've already gone ahead and ordered Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 winter tires through my dealership (best I could find after a lot of research). 255/40R/19 in the...
Very strange. I've had a current build date of 10/13 for several weeks... but I checked tonight and now it says 10/18, which is a Saturday. Are they doing weekend shifts now at Flat Rock? Maybe that's why so many people had their dates moved up?
I think the '15 is a vastly improved car, up and down the board. Styling, interior, electronics, suspension, etc etc.
Any way that you can look at a '15 in person before you make a decision?
Jmeo - Thank you, sir! I couldn't resist... it's just so beautiful
Codog23 - That's exactly the conclusion I came to... I'd rather wait a few extra weeks (if I have to) because I'll be driving this thing for years, I don't want to regret ANYTHING.
Sal JC - Yessir, I checked the source...
Well... after spending about 17 hours looking at endless pictures/videos and sleeping on it for two nights, I decided to go ahead and make the switch from Ingot to Magnetic.
My dealer entered the change into his system yesterday and it's already showing on COTUS... still has the same order...
Yeah that's exactly why I chose silver too. I had a black '05 GT when i lived in LA and it was a nightmare to keep clean.
I live in Philly now and have a dark blue Maxima... it looked AWFUL during the winter from the salt all over the roads.
Hahaha, yeah I think it was just a knee jerk reaction to the pictures Terminator posted today. His magnetic car looks incredible!
Anyway, I just talked to the inventory manager at my dealership and he said there's no way to know if changing colors would set me back until they actually changed...
