So I got the S-Type Catback system but may want to change to Corsa Extremes. Do I need to do the whole Catback or can I just change the Axlebacks for Corsa Extemes? Good idea? Bad Idea? Thanks in advance

I think i'll end up getting the Borla S-Types. I think the tone is just right for the S550. High (Rasp like) and Midtones would be good to have and not just deep and bass.

Would like to revive this thread as I'm looking into an S-Type. Anyone have any issues with the rasp? Mostly everyone in my community has the MBRP or Solo since they hate the Rasp of the Borlas.

I can see a whole thread on the Solo for sure compared to the MBRP. Would be nice to see an MBRP Race vs Solo Thunder comparison side by side though.

Those videos are ok but they don't really go WOT or rev it high enough during stationary. It's not their cars so I feel they weren't driving it hard enough.

I wish there was a video of a Solo Mach Thunder flyby from a car next to it to hear how it is on the highway

I'm really torn between the borla s-type vs Solo Mach thunder. I love the tone of the borla but worried it's not loud enough.

If you hate the rasp, then borla s-type is out, right?

Is there any drone with the the Thunder? Also, it seems like on a lot of videos, cold start sounds like a truck. I'm assuming it sounds deeper and better in person?

This is my concern that it might not be loud enough seeing as how people migrated from S-Types to Solo Performance Thunder or MBRP Race. Is your S-Type loud enough to at least hear you coming from a distance?

I am really contemplating the ATAKs vs S-Type. Are they deep in person because all the youtube videos i've watched seem to lack any deep end tone to it (even with headphones).

I was heavily debating the Solo XV or thunder and then MBRP. Thing is, not too many videos to compare with the solos.

I'm a little confused. If the street is raspy at WOT, why do people get the Corsa or S-Type which i feel is raspy to begin with?

According to my friends, they said the pins are not available outside the production facility. Perhaps dynamats or sound deadening equipment could work?

Thanks! Just wanted to be safe as I'm getting my windows tinted and speakers upgraded soon. I love the sound deadening in the S550. Wouldn't want that ruined with rattling :)

That's what I told my friends who work at Ford but they said that the clips are a one time use item because the door panels are not designed to be removed. I'm hoping that they're wrong and that those who've updated their door speakers see no difference with the door/quarter/console section...
