You didn't walk them down because your car is a performance pack car, you walked them down because your car was making enough power to walk them down. Had your car been an auto, especially with 3.15's, it would likely have walked them down even worse. This isn't my opinion, it seems to be...
I vote fox. I had a '91 coupe that I went high 9.70's in at 137 mph. It had a 393 windsor stroker, c4, and 4 lug 8.8 with good axles and c clip eliminators. Had a cage and subframe connectors too. Still had working power locks and windows. It had a cam small enough to give sufficient vacuum...
I had my '16 base auto ecoboost for a short enough time that the first payment didn't come due before I traded it in on my '16 premium gt auto. I had already tuned it, put an intercooler on it, a downpipe, and regapped plugs 1 heat range colder than stock. I whipped the downpipe off it, loaded...
If he says he's going to do something, you can be fairly sure he'll do it. He's not known for screwing up much, or for not making power. Ain't no backyard operation there.
I'm having the same problem, only much worse. It's not a Lund tune, but I loaded a flex tune in my gt, with nothing but 93 in the tank. The dash is reporting mid 6's for afr, and it set two codes, a P2196 and P2198. I only drove it a couple of miles, and the previous non-flex tune is getting...
True. I was hoping I could cheaply take a look at the tune in my car, minus the ability to write to the pcm. I may well end up buying the suite, but I want to get an idea of what level of access I'll have. I've read more than once that tuners with different levels of experience get access to...
That's the entire suite, including software. So, I guess if you don't have any hp tuners hardware and want to try it out, you must buy the entire thing first?
I wouldn't assume that your tuner ripped you off. It could well be that it's safe to run the car with headers on a stock tune, but that it also won't make as much power as with a tune for the headers.
Not to ask a dumb question, but I assume that if I download the trial version of HP tuners software, I must also get some sort of hardware to connect my laptop to the pcm?
IAT can indeed be improved, though most won't want to do it. It's called intercooler in a bottle, and you rig it up to be sprayed into the air inlet. It would be easy to do on our cars in a non-obvious way, since the air intake tube is accessible but not easily visible from outside the car...
If anyone was to happen to go used ecoboost shopping at Koons in Baltimore, MD, you might find a low mileage guard base 2016 auto. If it's the one a guy from Alabama traded in, you would find that it already has one of these intercoolers installed. They work great. Just figured I would put...
Yeah, I can see that too. I'm hoping Torrie can put some sort of super-lean cruise afr into my gt so that the 100 mile a day trip to class and back will cost less. Something where it's really lean at very light load, and instantly returns to normal afr's when the accelerator is stepped on.
There are some subtle nuances to plug reading. Then there are those cases that are a little more obvious, such as when parts of the plug are missing, or in a location different than what they're supposed to be. Examples of missing parts include burned off ground electrode, disappearance of...
It can be done such that the return oil is pumped into the engine through a special oil fill cap with a fitting for the return line(s). Thus, no oil pan tapping.
I'm a big fan of nitrous. I've skinned many an ass with it, and gotten beat by cars with it too. I just worry about something causing the tune to close the throttle while the car is being sprayed. That results in very high flow intake manifolds and extra hood bulges.
