  1. Premium fuel or Regular? GT Coyote V8

IMO the 93 octane gas is always a better choice even in cars that don't call for it. There is definitely an improvement in MPG's so it's not a total loss as far as spending more for the same result. If you don't want to spend more than necessary for gas, learn where the lower priced stations are...
  2. Cool Vid on the 2018 Mustang Digital Dash

Now that they area is completely led, they can do those things with only a software update. I am mixed as to whether I want the digital dash or not, I am leaning towards it for resale when the time comes...
  3. August 2017 Mustang Sales

I feel like perhaps you're not really an aficionado, if you truly were you'd realize the 25 HP isn't the story with the new 5.0 - it's the higher redline. The old motor's power curve dropped at 6500 rpm, which was nearly identical to the LT 6.2, this one has a 7500 redline and while the details...
  4. August 2017 Mustang Sales

I have built out a 2018 exactly the same as the 2015 GT Premium I have now and the difference is less than $100. No I didn't choose active exhaust or a heated steering wheel etc - only picking those options I have now. I think the Active Exhaust option is work getting, and that new dash would be...
  5. August 2017 Mustang Sales

I honestly disagree with you, what Ford has done is open up the Mustang to luxury buyers, it's entering a new market and so I expect it'll achieve higher average monthlies than the current model. I read about this, the changes to the updated Expedition/Navigator, the Bronco, the Ranger, the...
  6. August 2017 Mustang Sales

Details matter i don't believe you have really looked into this at all, if you want to build a 2018 up to the same specs as a 2017 - you can and it's priced about the same. About the same price and with a much more powerful 5.0L, a strong manual, a better clutch, and you'll find out it's...
  7. 2019 GT500 Mustang New Spy Video, Pics, Info

We'll see, I heard it from a source I consider legit, it is definitely something talked about at Ford. I agree with it, Carol is dead let him rest in peace. They definitely gave him one last send off he'd have been proud of with the GT350 which is undoubtedly one of the best production based...
  8. 2019 GT500 Mustang New Spy Video, Pics, Info

I hear Ford will be retiring the use of "Shelby", there will be a GT500 and while I am not sure it needs yet another name I did hear "Cobra" would be used. Seriously a Mustang Cobra? Sounds like a car with issues. I wonder why "P51" never found it's way onto the name plate other than a one-off...
  9. Take note, Ford....

Go get that BMW then come talk about build quality, you've never owned one because if you did you wouldn't be saying that. A $6k bill is nothing with a Beamer, you might have just gotten the suspension retuned, a couple of parts replaced. Lease BMW's don't buy one. On the other hand I agree...
  10. Take note, Ford....

?? Not really, that market is gone, it definitely isn't enough to support a car like a Mustang or Camaro. Loaded Mustang GT's are common, Ford is not a company that makes decisions on a whim, their data is telling them people want loaded Mustangs and that is what they are giving. And I built...
  11. Take note, Ford....

Nah - before GM started unloading Camaros on the rental market, they had nearly a 50% take rate on the V8 - in comparison in the U.S. the V8 Mustang take rate is far less. It's just my opinion however people that buy the non-V8 cars are looking for something fun to drive as an everyday car - not...
  12. Take note, Ford....

more content for the dollar. A base Mustang GT can still be had for $35k, and if you look Ford increased the options on 2018's Ford has added more standard equipment for the base packages. A GT Premium can be had for $39k, the $38k SS is cloth seats... However what GM cannot do with pricing...
  13. Dean Martin's GT4 Mustang

I thought they were too, and I also saw it noted the GT4 was a CPC (acknowledgement of a change). I haven't heard why they dropped the FPC, though were I to venture a guess give as I understand it the GS cars are limited to around 400 HP, it simply can't make full use of the power developed at...
  14. S8 Audi tried to bait me

Well I really rely on first hand feedback and from what I hear first hand a Mercedes is generally far more dependable than either a BMW or Audi. They do tend to cost a bit more, they are worth it in comparison. In Germany Mercedes have a far better reputation than BMW or Audi.
  15. S8 Audi tried to bait me

Of course Audi maintenance is insanely expensive, the ignition coils go out so often my neighbor has them on recurring order for his A4. He keeps a water bottle in his garage and sprays the exhaust pipes to see which is out. I know another guy with the S4, hearing him talk his is even worse than...
  16. June 2017 Mustang Sales

I know exactly how it feels I had a '99 Olds Intrigue, I loved that car DOHC 3.5VL 6 pulled hard for it's time. Seats were among the most comfortable I ever sat in. However I had to get rid of it because I couldn't find replacement parts for it, what I could find was marked up 2-3x what the...
  17. 2019 GT500 Mustang New Spy Video, Pics, Info

? There will be a GT500, Ford is simply going to stop using the "Shelby" name on it's cars - may he rest in peace.
  18. 2019 GT500 Mustang New Spy Video, Pics, Info

I am holding out hope for a Ford DOHC 427 in the GT500. Especially if the GT500 is going to replace the GT350 as their racing platform - boosted cars are not allowed. I doubt a restricted 427 would perform as well as the 5.2L though, however the exhaust of a DOHC 427 would shake the earth.
  19. 2019 GT500 Mustang New Spy Video, Pics, Info

Well, other than the wheels the only conclusion that can be drawn is that car did not have a turbo on it, and I don't believe it had a supercharger either. Did anyone else hear indication of either? Neither did that engine sound like it could be a larger displacement engine (the rumored 7.0L)...
  20. 2018 Mustangs at Austin

I don't have an issue with the front end, with Mustangs we fall for each one and dislike each one's replacement, then fall for it just like we did the last. The changes on the 18 are so compelling. And sadly I believe the S650 will be a physically smaller car - terrific for winning races, not so...
