  1. 2nd 2017 gt350 motor replacement on the horizon

Yes, I know. I posted this so people would stop giving you a hard time about not checking every 500 miles or at every gasoline fill up. I'm on your side.
  2. Do you consider the GT350 a Shelby?

I agree. Not trying to start anything. I just feel the real Shelby's were modified post creation offsite and that makes a Roush more like the original Shelby's than our cars. I mean no offense. I also don't believe it makes our cars any less special.
  3. Do you consider the GT350 a Shelby?

I do not believe it to be a Shelby. The original Shelby's were modified at a location off site post creation. So to be honest and some may not like what I say but the Roush cars are more like Shelby's than our Shelby's. I will also chime in and say that our cars are more like Boss...

  11. My New GT350

I put my post up in the wrong forum. Sorry. Here we go again. So I had put down a deposit on a Grabber Blue GT350 from a local dealer that had one on order. It wasn't my first color choice but it was the only local dealer that would let me pay MSRP. At any rate my first color choice...

  13. My New GT350

I had a a deposit for a grabber blue GT350that was on dealer order. It wasn't my first choice but the dealer was willing to let me purchase at MSRP. At any rate I found a gray one and finally convinced the dealer to let me purchase at MSRP. I am pumped up. So here it is.

The OP doesn't need a bunch of people saying you should've done this or didn't do that. 7 quarts of oil consumption in 4,000 miles is ridiculous period! I don't care if it's a porsche or a ferrari, then the motor is way way too loose and already needs a set of rings. That would be...
  15. I'm done with the break squealing... need suggestions

Completely off topic but when we used to build motorcycle racing engines we would use a trigger spray bottle filled with water and spray the cylinders with a mist of water prior to assembly. We used to let them sit for about an hour and they would form a very light powdery rust residue. We...
  16. Ford Execs lose bonuses over Quality

I've been a Ford guy for 30 years.......yeah I'm old. LOL I've owned a ton of mustangs. At the moment I own a Scat Pack Challenger 8 speed auto. My GT350 won't arrive to the dealer until mid June. Anyway. Over the past 30 years quality has certainly changed. We are all benefitting...
  17. 2nd 2017 gt350 motor replacement on the horizon

Heavier oils aren't all their cracked up to be. Agreed. The speed at which it reaches the bearings instant up is critical.
  18. 2nd 2017 gt350 motor replacement on the horizon

No no no. He needs to check it at every stop light. We don;t want him living to high off of the hog with just checking daily. LOL
  19. I'm done with the break squealing... need suggestions

I am certain you got a hard set of brake linings. It happens or they got heated up and glazed which pretty much means they're now too hard. That would get under my skin too. I am surprised Hawk doesn't make brake pads yet for these cars. I'm shocked actually. The only thing you can do...
  20. 2nd 2017 gt350 motor replacement on the horizon

I think saying it's his fault for not checking the oil level after the change is a bit harsh. I am a certified master auto tech and I do not expect everyone to be as knowledgeable about the maintenance and care of a car as I am. I will also say that when you pay for a service there's an...
