Yes I'm looking at the same brand Michelin PS4S. The section width gets bigger with bigger tire as expected but the tread width is what I'm confused about. It should get bigger too. Did tire rack got the number wrong somehow?
.
I'm running performance pack wheels right now but I'm planning to go square setup.
I deciding on between 285/35/19 and 295/35/19.
I'm looking on tirerack at the tread width section (I'm assuming the contact between tire's and road's surfaces).
My 275/40/19 has 10.1 tread width, 285 has 10.0...
Bought one of these from LMR and couple of screws seems to be cross threaded don't go all the way in. After installation the door is not flushed with body.
The verdict is in! The springs are 100% the culprit.
I took the suspension apart to try and resit those springs. Spent time to double check everything, made sure everything was tight, torqued to specs, even torqued the center nuts to 78ft lb as some Steeda techs suggested. The noise was still...
I had no problem torquing the center nuts.
I hear knocking noises like metal to metal but not very loudly. It seems to happen when there is expansion and followed by compression like a pot hole or some drops.
Does it matter which stud goes to which hole for the strut mount?
What do you mean...
No, I don't think so. From what I understand progressive springs get stiffer as springs are compressed. Dual rate springs have two separate spring rates. Steeda front springs have rate transition from 230 to 350lbs/in.
