That makes sense to me. I have seen reference to a "mod shop" step. I don't know if that is for stripes only or other things. I don't have stripes but I did order the optional black roof. If that is an option that any other mustang could get, then I think you are right.

In the end I agree with you. As of today mine shows as 'produced'. It is Ruby Red and has a black room. The pictures of have seen of this combination look great. I think I will be happy with that.

Produced in a Day????? Yesterday was the blend date for my car and when I saw that cotus was up I took a look. Sure enough, it showed that the car was in production. I figured a couple days. Today when I looked it said awaiting shipment. I am eager to get it but it seems fast to do this...

Thanks. My plan is to arrange to have this done just as soon as I can after I get the car from the dealer, certainly before there there are 100 or 200 miles on it. Given what I have read and seen, I will probably ask for a basic Xpel treatment of the front of the car with the new film...

Thanks very much for this. Sorry I have been a bit dense on this point. The key point here is that the installer will make the paint look as good as it can before the application of the film.

That sounds about right. I just got my weekly update from my dealer - really a nice GM that is local. The blend date is 9/20 and the order was placed in early August. My sticker generated just a couple days ago showed the higher price. I sent a note back to the dealer asking about this and...

From this, I take it that you recommend that I DO NOT wax/seal areas to be covered by PPF. I had just thought that if I made the base look good, it would look good through the film. Thank you for the advice.

I am confused, why would the quarter panel in front of the rear tire be susceptible to chips? I can see why - and have had several cars that are susceptible to chips behind the wheels - even when it is not a track car.
