  1. What are you using for non-track/street brake pads?

Yea, and my numbers both went up over a few thousand miles. I was just noticing this weekend that even the initial bite seems to be almost as good as OEM. Dust is nearly non-existent now. I love showing up to a cars & coffee and not having the rims look like they've never been cleaned! I can...
  2. What are you using for non-track/street brake pads?

I used to think the dust was an acceptable trade off for amazing brakes. And while that may be true for the track, it's not for the street. I absolutely love using the Z26 on the street. I clean the entire car after every ride so less dust is important to me. It's a weekend toy. And as I said...
  3. What are you using for non-track/street brake pads?

This is exactly correct. And after a few thousand miles, I find my Z26 pads to be getting better, even on the initial bite.
  4. 2020 GT350 vs. 2018 GT3

This is a fantastic thread with amazingly informed people giving real input. Based on my reading, and mostly based on Randy Probst's results, yours are spot on. Even the lap times were similar to his in that the 911 (not even GT3) was just a hair quicker. I was comparing my GT350 to a few...
  5. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

    Looks great. Any profile shots?
  6. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

HAVE HIM SIGN THE DASH. and take pics of the event.
  7. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

FWIW, and out of curiosity, I just measured the stripes on my FFR Cobra and the GT350. Both are about ~14" wide, total. But the Cobra is half the size. Interesting...
  8. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

Full PPF. Absolutely. All the areas of your new stripes are all high risk areas even before you got the great Mr. Brock involved. While you may think the roof or trunk lid are not high risk, they are horizontal, so they are likely to catch damaging bird poop, acorns falling from trees, etc...
  9. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Simple answer... BOTH! A friend of mine test drove my GT350. Ordered himself one the next day. That was in the fall. Then he saw the new GT4. Both arrived at his home last month. See, it CAN be done! BOTH!
  10. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

Interesting mention of Pete Brock in this article and where the stripes actually came from, and how he brought them to Shelby...
  11. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

DARN IT! Every time I see an email notification about this thread I can't click on it fast enough in hopes of seeing more pics of the wider stripes!
  12. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

GOOD TO KNOW! Yea, nothing beats laying eyes on something.
  13. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

Right. And whose job it is TO RUN UP THE BID so Mecum can make more money? We tip waiters because they make below min wage. We tip valets because they do us a service that is OPTIONAL (ie, carry bags to your hotel room) and that is also very helpful. The Bidding "Assistants" I would argue...
  14. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

    REALLY?
  15. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

83 years old and cars... reminds me of this: "I want to die like John did, quietly in his sleep; not screaming with fear like his passengers."
  16. Pete Brock GT350 HEP Stripe Re-Design

@slingblade any updated pics? The more I look at his work, the more I agree that the car will look better with wider stripes! Who knew?! Well, Pete did but no one thought to ask before now!
  17. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

And at 83 where money is likely not a primary motivator, he may be very hard to figure out. For all we know he wants to put 10 more cars in the space where these cars were. Or he's just not interested in having that many cars any more. Who knows. I drove mine today. Sunny, 40* weather, but...
  18. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

The Ford GT thing was a different scenario because Ford made buyers sign a contract not to resell the car and in fact sued a few people for breach of contract when they did. And of course it was Ford corporate who screened buyers. Ferrari does something similar with many cars. Buyers have to...
  19. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

I actually would have expected more for this car, given that the first Cobra went for twice this amount. This one was his personal 427 until he died. Of course this one is restored whereas the other was original. When I went to the Shelby factory tour a few years ago they talked about how...
  20. Mecum Auction - Kissimmee

I was only referring to the modern GT350's, if you were talking to me.
