There's a bracket back there with an empty harness slot on it, but I didn't trace it back to see where it went. I also don't have the wiring diagrams for a shaker to compare to.

You get this resolved? If you need, I can snap a picture of the 12v keyed wire I have tapped so you can compare. I haven't fully tucked that harness back away yet.

How much did you need for full coverage?

It's possible the factory sub is grounded with the rear exterior marker lights, which come on when the proximity key is detected, I believe. Could be picking up noise from that loop.

Anything done so far is 100% custom. There are no dash/harness kits.

Seems like a lot of work to get to something that isn't really in the way. Wouldn't it make more sense to just tape off the wires somewhere under the kick panel and leave it be, or does it daisy-chain off another signal wire somewhere behind the dash?

The key fob radio is mounted in the rear deck, I believe? Maybe they're on a shared ground, which could potentially generate noise. Could also be grounded with the tail lamps/side markers/etc., which all turn on with the proximity key.

There's no reason why you couldn't do this, so far as I can tell. The caveat there being that you probably would not be able to use the factory amp location to physically install a four/five-channel amp. There's just not that much room behind the kick panel, from what I can tell.

Yeah, this. Are you using a cable supplied by Samsung that was meant to be used to connect to a PC, or is it just a generic mini USB charging cable? If it's the latter, it may not support data.

To clarify, I was recommending the app so that you can get voice directions from your phone while you're listening to other sources WITHOUT disconnecting Bluetooth since some folks want to listen to iPods, USB sticks, Satellite, or AM/FM while navigating, etc.

What size terminal did you need for that bolt? Looks like its a 14/15mm head so it's probably bigger than the terminals that came with my amp install kit.
