My first time doing an install myself. That plate behind the door handle is really something. Should I go buy a special tool for this, it is there a way to get it out?

I think 8 gauge will fit fine. I'm running 4 gauge because my amp says to run it. It's gonna be a tight fit. The only reason you might want to run bigger is if you want to upgrade later. If you don't wanna take off the tire, you can drill as well. Right behind the battery, the lowest part will...
I remember reading to do after the amp because you will get a lower voltage signal that will not sound good running to your amp.

The work on the box doesn't seem too bad. You would need some tools on the woodwork, but besides that, very doable. I might attempt this. The stealth on the box is so awesome.
I've hooked and unhooked my tom top a few times and now the AC isn't working. The fan speed works but nothing else. I've been waiting for the new unit to dig back in and *hope* that I forgot to connect something.
I don't know anything about this stuff, and there's so many options out there I don't even know where to start.
I want to run all 4 speakers and one sub. Maybe around $400-$600. I'm just looking for a nice loud sound inside; I'm not like an audiophile or anything.

I found this thread on a 2015 premium gt insall. Not sure if it will be the same for base gt. This is what he says:
