I would definitely use the bottom mounting holes and cut off those pins from the sheet metal. You’ll get additional shock travel which will help ride quality.

I have BG fluid in my car and winter drive it in freezing temps without issue. The fluid helped reduce the 1-2 grind and generally improved the overall shifting feel enough to make it worth doing. The MT82 is still a little rough until it warms up but once it is it’s solid.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve considered getting some because I winter drive the car and some rock have peppered my rear haunches behind the door. I had RokBlokz on my Focus ST and they were great but also had stray rocks build up.
