Since the digital dash will be an optional extra on top of the already top-tier premium plus package, it's hard to justify the cost. I like the analog gauges.

Anyone else notice how tall the beltlines have gotten on pony cars? When I park my S550 next to my 88 GTA the difference in beltline, front end and hood height is amazing. The mustang looks huge.

It's already proven that having the biggest HP number doesn't dictate sales. The S550 has been outselling the camaro with a lot less power and torque.
Dual mass flywheels reduce NVH by absorbing the power pulses from the engine, but they can be considered an expensive wear item. After a while, they are sometimes not even available as replacements and you have to convert back to a single mass (like on my C4 corvette).
A lot of the new features for the 2018 are options (digital dash, magride, dual mode exhaust, lighting), having them all will probably result in a pretty expensive car. If you're looking to spend a lot and those options appeal to you, wait for the 2018. If you're going to buy a pretty much base...
