Haha yea I saw that you guys have awesome prices on both, that's a big reason I'm considering them.
You guys also ran a resonator delete with the Roush right? I had that setup before and found the cold start a bit too loud for my liking and the tone was a bit too harsh, not smooth enough for my...
Yea they both sound very similar. Catback vs catback the MBRP wins on price , but I think I'd just swap the axleback for magnaflows since I already have the xpipe so the cost isn't as big of a factor in that case.
Videos never do exhaust systems justice, I just want something that has...
I doubt many people have had both, but if you have heard both what are your impressions?
Which one is deeper? Smoother tone? Louder?
Drone doesn't bother me so I really don't care if it drones, I rarely drive on the highway anyways
So I am currently running a lethal x pipe with FRPP touring axle back. I am looking to add headers in the future, but want to keep it from getting too loud and raspy.
From what I have read, the Borla 60561 resonator is a direct swap for the Ford Racing x-pipe that is used in the full FRPP...
Not to hijack, but what diameter inlet/outlet bullet muffler should I look for to add to the stock piping between my xpipe and axleback? 2 1/2" should able to work right?
The FRPP touring is really not all that quiet. Cold start is fairly loud, but that only lasts about 20 seconds. Cruising around its somewhat tame, but step on it and it opens up quite a bit. If you want quietest catback, I believe the Borla Touring is quieter, as it uses Borla's resonator to...
That is the setup I am currently running. X pipe with FRPP touring axleback. For the most part, it is a catback. The only difference is the length of tubing between the x-pipe and the mufflers, which is the factory tubing.
Glad to hear you're liking the Roush! Cold start with the x-pipe was making me nervous that neighbors were gonna slash my tires or something since I leave so early in the mornings lol
With my new wheel and tire setup, the tpms did not sync on their own (they were new also). Ordered the tpms tool, and they still will not sync. Can get the car into tpms learning mode, but they just won't sync. So for now I'm just dealing with the idiot light on.
I'll definitely let you know if I decide to part with the touring. I'd much prefer to sell locally.
After 3 different exhaust setups, wheels, springs, tune and other odds and ends, I told myself I was done this yr. We all know how that goes...lol
So I've been through a few different exhaust setups.
First was Roush axle back. Not bad, but wanted a hair louder.
Roush axle back with x-pipe. A bit too harsh of a tone and too loud to daily drive, and if I wanted to add headers, it would be too much for me.
Ford racing touring axle back...
How long did it take you guys to install each of your kits?
As pretty much every s/c kit out there will make enough power to make me happy, I can't make up my mind which one I'd like to go with.
