I noticed a noise coming from the passenger side (front or rear, I don't know) the past few nights. It's been cold at night (around 35) and I noticed a noise when I'm slowing from around 25 to around 20 or 15. Can't describe the sound, but it's almost like a faint howling sound, but I know...
The response and the experience you get from the device isn't as easy to explain as some of you guys are making it out to be. The questions people are asking are legit. Frankly, before I ordered it, I wasn't completely sure how it worked. Some of the explanation could only be completely...
I actually don't think you're burning more fuel in Normal Mode with the device on. The reason is that you now how much gas you need to get the car moving to a speed you like. If anything, the fuel burn is slight because you're opening the throttle faster than wha you're accustom to. However...
Yes, I realized this is what is meant. As with a lot of users, it's hard to explain until you actually try it. Well, I tried it, and it's not the experience I thought I would have. As it is said in professional philosophy, you don't know what it is like until you actually experience it...
Can any recommend a shop in the Lincoln area where I can get my Roush AB installed? Hopefully, someone inexpensive? I would appreciate it. I'll even buy you lunch if you have the experience and tools to do it. :)
Thanks.
So I unplug the battery and it's still the same kind of "lag" I'm feeling. I drove around with the device on on some open road for about 30 mins, mainly in normal mode but sometimes in sport to get some comparison. Here is what I am experiencing.
I think plc is right: the lag I'm feeling now...
Interesting. My instructions don't say that. I'll try this tomorrow. Is it just the negative terminal then? Did your instructions mention the throttle reset?
I remember people mentioning unplugging the battery but only as a safety precaution, not as a necessity to receive optimal results.
Can you confirm this? If so, what do I need to do after I disconnect the negative terminal? Let it sit for a little? etc.?
Thanks.
I drive in normal mode because the mapping in sports mode is not smooth. The car jerks too much when I slow down. Most of my time driving is around city. When the road is more open, then sport mode is a lot of fun. But sport isn't fun around the city.
What do you mean the negative terminal?
Ahh yes, that's what I remembered. But I don't have a clutch. I have an auto. So, I don't know how to do the reset with these instructions.
Can anyone confirm if I need to do this reset and the battery disconnect?
I did remember someone mentioning that earlier in the thread. but now, I can't find it. :frusty:
I did not disconnect the battery. The instructions didn't say I needed to.
Can others confirm if I need to perform either or both these steps to get the optimal results.
Thanks for alerting...
