I've got about 15,000 miles on my 2017 and recently noticed a new sound. While driving in any gear at about 2200 rpm I hear a buzzing or whining sound, with the clutch pedal in or out. It goes away (or gets drowned out) as the rpms rise. Could be a harmonic vibration, gear noise, I don't...
AC
My leaky AC manifold line (high pressure side) is being replaced today under warranty. It lasted almost a year before it slowly lost all the refrigerant.
My splitter was missing those four 45 degree screws, too. So, after reading this post, I bought these M4.2x20 body bolts at Lowe's. Although 5mm shorter than the Ford part, they work fine. Now, lining up the holes and setting the tabs, that's the hard part.
Thanks JAJ. This is the type of information I'm looking for. I want to put some good all-season tires on my GT350. We don't get many snow storms in Maryland. When snow is predicted, I drive my old truck. The all-seasons will get me home from work when the weatherman's prediction is a little...
Winter is Coming...
Has anyone put all-season tires on their GT350 during the colder months in place of the stock Pilot Super Sports? No surprise, but I can't find anything in the same size as the PSS's.
2017 Sold Out
I call Ford Performance yesterday to sign up for the GT350 Track Attack and was informed that they are sold out for the rest of this year. I'm so disappointed!
Missing Parts
Finally got around to looking at what is wrong with my splitter. Discovered that the dealer (Apple/Columbia, MD) did not install the 45 degree bolts at all. I need to find a better local dealer to get my work done at.
PSS and the cold
I just chatted with a Michelin rep in France. He stated that "It is not recommended for UHP tires to be used in temperatures under 43 degrees. Using the tires in these temperatures may cause them to crack and of course loose traction as they take much longer to warm up."...
They didn't think the grease came from the boot, because they couldn't find a problem with the boot. I'm supposed to come back if more grease shows up or when the half shaft starts making noise!
