  1. Wheel hop...

Thanks! Would there be any benefit/detriment to regular driving with the kit? I don't normally launch hard from a stop - I'll let it roll a bit
  2. Wheel hop...

Can you explain what is wheel hop and why you think the stock is sloppy? I’ve heard about it since before I bought my car, watched a few videos now that you reminded me again, and I still don't have a good enough grasp on what it is and how it affects my daily driving. I'm getting the fact that...
  3. Petrol station visit

If you're a grown up you can manage 2 minutes in the heat or cold to fill up, get over the fact that the engine isn't fully warmed up, and that it's an "inconvenience". There's no need to be macho/stupid that "I've been doing it this way for 30 years!". If on the off chance something goes wrong...
  4. New to forum

Nice! Now get rid of that dealer sticker!
  5. Is waving a thing Mustang drivers do?

Gotten a few waves, head nods, thumbs up... but my favorite is just flashing lights quickly as you're passing them. Quick, subtle, and easier to time than trying not to look like a goofball whipping your hand up to wave back in time.
  6. Rant time...what's the worst thing about your Mustang?

What's the issue with keeping it on the same temperature? You're either comfortable with the ambient temperature and keep it off or you turn it on and it brings the cabin to your temperature as quick as it quietly can. You're telling me you're scared of A/C failure but want to have a manual...
  7. Package Identify

Most sites show the window sticker, especially dealer sites. Get comfortable with reading those as it's the quickest way to see if it has everything you want rather than a copy pasted description by someone that has never sat in the Mustang they're selling. My first test drive was a 16 GT...
  8. Rant time...what's the worst thing about your Mustang?

You know there's an "auto" setting once you know what temperature you like... I barely touch anything but the power button.
  9. Low arm rests?

Thought about this driving home after reading. Mine feels like it can be a tad lower - I'm 6'3. If I had to complain about anything being harder to reach it would be the touchscreen when the seat is all the way back.
  10. Are you Sirius ?

Apple CarPlay and Apple Music. Easiest and plays what I tell it to with the windows down at highway speed when I can’t even hear myself.
  11. 2016 GT 20" Package Tires: 265 or 275?

They are my only set of wheels at the moment as I don't have anywhere to store extra car parts - so it's pretty important for me to have a good treadwear for daily use but also grip for the weekends. The continentals are awesome in the rain, cold, and summer so I have no issue with staying with...
  12. 2016 GT 20" Package Tires: 265 or 275?

thanks I'll see if town fair tire will mount them for me without telling me i need new rims
  13. 2016 GT 20" Package Tires: 265 or 275?

Looking at replacing some tires as my rear tires are at 4 and 9. I'm seeing that getting the same brand of tire in 255 or 275 is about $100 cheaper than the 265 and I'm wondering if the 275 will fit/ideas on whether it makes sense vs the 255? I have never bought tires before so I'm finding it...
  14. Buyer's remorse on color choice...?

Had a good feeling about my car online even though I never saw race red in person and didn’t like it in videos online. Flew to VA, as soon as I saw it on the lot I fell in love with the color and people compliment it regularly. Honestly can’t picture it any other way now
  15. Full tank in miles you get? (Ecoboost, GT, V6)

I'll drive it but I try not to keep it under a quarter tank for an extended period of time. I've gotten mine down to below 10 miles left regularly and still had a gallon + in the tank.
  16. Radar Detector Placement?

I use the R3 powered off the mirror using some cables I bought off Amazon. It works really well and sits just under my mirror.
  17. Full tank in miles you get? (Ecoboost, GT, V6)

In my daily driving I definitely agree it’s way too optimistic. Same with 18 MPG for the last 9,000 miles when I’m in traffic every day for half an hour +. I’ve never actually ran the tank dry but when I fill up at E it usually has 1-2 gallons - even if it says less than 5 miles remaining
  18. Full tank in miles you get? (Ecoboost, GT, V6)

Not sure what you mean about the hand calculation but I reset my Trip ODO every time I fill up so that's how I gauged it. Both of those trips were all highway driving basically the whole way and I haven't really repeated it since.
  19. Full tank in miles you get? (Ecoboost, GT, V6)

2016 GT 200/tank regular commute in traffic and things around the city 400/tank on a road trip (MA > Atlantic City | VA > CT - done on one tank) edit: on 93 always
  20. Do it stay or do it GO?

I drove for 8+ hours straight without any rest breaks in mine when I picked it up from a dealer and regularly do 3 hour trips in it without stops. I think the most important thing is adjusting the seat and steering wheel - since I got the car I've been having pains in my right ankle and knee...
