Yeah honestly I don’t really care about the orange stain might cut down the life of the plugs a little but I don’t mind for the safety it provides and boostane is cheaper than race gas and works great as an octane booster. At the track I run straight race gas not boosted pump gas.
Personally I went Whipple due to not liking how low the turbos sit. my mustang is my daily I dont wanna worry about sucking in large amounts of water if it rains hard or worry about driving to my cabin which is on a crazy dusty dirt road.
Wanting to change from 3.73s to 3.31 gears seems like a popular change but I haven't found any write ups on how to do it. wanting to just change gears not the whole diff so i can keep the torsen diff
Some octane booster can go a long way to make pump gas safer especially in the event you get a bad tank of gas. I personally use a half a can of boostane professional at every fill up. Adds a bit of cost to each fill up but if it saves me from having to buy a motor it’s worth it.
I’d recommend the gen5 whipple install was smooth as silk power is good canned tune drives fantastic, plus one day if you get bored of the power the blower will support pretty much any power level desired.
Hey, that's really awesome Next time I need work done I'll be sure to message you. have you done internal work on these engines? I have been thinking of throwing forged rods and pistons in.
the meth on top of race gas is more for cooling I am still running a stock engine and like half mile racing plus the occasional long street pull in Mexico of course. And there are advantages to keeping cylinder temps down namely keeping piston rings from kissing and breaking the pistons apart...
Kind of in a similar boat here. Arizona doesn’t have e85 and I’d really like a race tune so I’m thinking about 110 octane since I have that at a pump near my home.
