I'm not planning on more that one or two casual track days a summer so I'm just gonna swap tires mid-summer. I'm just not able to bare the thoughts of putting on hundreds (thousands?) of street miles and NOT being able to enjoy the advantages of the CF wheels.
I'll use the PS4S on CF wheels for...
Well, heat in Wisco is not so much and issue.... but I just wanted to be able to take her for a drive without have to ensure zero chance of precipitation if driving on the Cup2ās. With PS4S installed, should I hit a rain shower Iāll still have traction.
I canāt remember exactly who was the pro...
Hard to say as I only have 200 miles on the car. Logic says the original tires being a hell of a lot more sticky Iām probably loosing some performance but I really doubt itās anything Iāll notice on the street.
Iāll report back once I and run it up to 8000rpm in another 800 miles.
I kept the CF but went down 10mm with a set of PS4S.
295/30
305/30
When with this set up after highly recommended my multiple sources that are much smarter than I.
Best of luck!
Sorry for not being more clear... I was curious as to the specific use of the gorilla tape. Iām aware what the product itself is.
my initial thought was in line with your comment... what about the adhesive residue? So maybe he was using under the splitter like that āSliploā product?
I switched to PS4S, went down 10mm on the width and found that to be a nice compromise in regards to tram-lining and just in case I get caught in the wet.
Fantastic story. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the car. Although, living in Wisconsin Iām very jealous of only having to wait 3 days after first snow to drive again. š
Golf Mill Ford.
Locally they don't have a good reputation. Salesman lied twice within the first 3 sentences. I called him out on it and then indicated I would not pay over sticker and his retort was "maybe this car is not for you", so I walked out.
I'm hoping it's still there in spring so I...
There is a HEP R still sitting at the dealership I walked out of 5 months ago in Niles, IL I happen to drive by last night and saw it there, outside, covered in snow.
The car did need a good detail, which showed in the pictures, which probably didn't help.
.... but the license plate frame. Honestly the replacement engine or the 8000 miles would not bother me as much as seeing HOONIGAN.
a little pre-sale prep would have helped, IMHO
I don't have to really decide until spring, but my strategy for now.... take the PPF money and save it for full repaint (and panel gap fix) post warranty.... I'm thinking minimal PPF only bumper below headlights/above spoiler. I'm OK with the "lines" and rest that goes along with PPF for my...
Could be both.... fordās policy used to cover CF wheels and from what I can tell they ended around 2018. So there are policy holders out there with CF wheel coverage
