I sent an email 2 days ago to the my contact at the school from when I attended and waiting to hear back. Naturally Iām hoping for the āI stole itā price. Hell, Iāll daily it through winter if I can get one for under 30 LOL.
SVT Cobra would be awesome⦠and surely Ford will not miss the opportunity to have us clamoring over the last of the ICE high performance Mustangs with gobs of powerā¦
but what is not likely is a manual transmission or a n/a engine for that swan song.
In 2019 when I started to seriously consider GT350R ownership, I thought that this *COULD* be the last large displacement + naturally aspirated + manual transmission car Ford will put out. Itās seems with every passing day since we have inched closer to that eventualityā¦
I think it will likely...
Saw this in the comments of a BaT auction, thought I would share here:

With 4500 miles on my HEP R, mine will never bring wrapper car numbersā¦. But Iād like to think Iām havinā a hellova lot more fun!
How about LR268 as likely the last HEP R built sans Tech Package? Sure to command a premium! ššš
just kidding. Seriously tough, Iām so happy just to be in the club⦠and not loosing my ass (as far as the value).
and thank you @PP0001 for your sharing your insights and knowledge.
Anyone aware of a recent public sale of a HEP R? BaT seems to have an R weekly now, and I do follow the market closelyā¦. But I donāt recall seeming a HEP R come across BaT, Cars and Bids, or Mecum.
All I can say is Iām grateful to have been able to get a HEP R and mine certainly has not been...
It just so happens that my local Ford dealer ans the equipment and an experienced tech. Iām assuming Iām paying more at the Ford dealer than a dedicated tire shop but I just felt that if anything went less than optimal, itās an easier fix with a dealer than a shop.
Agreed. Kunes Ford in Delevan, WI understands the unique nature of the GT350R and itās insane owner that actually insisted on speaking with the tech before bringing the car in for its first service (which was tire swap and splitter install).
Now I deal with only 1 service advisor and 1 techā¦...
Out with the Northwoods Shelby Club at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. Thanks to @Vettel-ish and Andy for their hospitality. Canāt wait to get out to Road America next spring. So happy I did the GT350 track attack. Itās paying dividends now! Heel toe mastery!
Added winter car (live in WI)⦠I figured better than winter tires. And the kids get to ride in this one (it is a manual, of course).
BTW, 3000 miles on the R and going strong. May have to up annual milage with the insurance company at this rate!
