Just keep the factory active. Most of those "old school" exhausts mentioned in this thread have serious drone issues. It's why they are not as popular as others anymore. I had the full Mac system on my '14 and it sounded glorious, mellow and extra deep but it did drone around 2000 rpm. Not a big...
Any chance you can measure the length of the cat or the straight pipe behind the header? I am looking at getting some and I want to put a bullet resonator to quiet it down a bit. I know it doesn't help you, but since you have them out...
I have this issue with my Edelbrock. Lund tuned. Dakota told me it is a ford thing at start-up to warm the O2 sensors quickly and there is nothing they can do about it. He says they chased the issue in their Whipple car to no avail. I believe my car is rich on cold start. It did not have the...
How did that setup work at the strip? Vikings in the rear as well? I want a minimal drop setup that handles the straight and then is able to turn decently with a few adjustments to the dampers. I was looking at the Viking coilovers but there isn't a whole lot real world reviews of them that I found.
Did you email Tony Avina? He 2-day shipped me a brass sensor and different harness the same day. Even threw in a few stickers. Don't be afraid to make the switch with it installed. It came out easily and I had already been running it for a year.
They have a cup spacer on the nozzle. They do not have the hat style spacer like the IDs and the DWs. It is the reason I went with them. I was afraid of going through the trouble of the fuel rail install only to have it leak at the joint and have to do it again. Installing them took 45 minutes...
I am not. I went without them on the stock injectors and now on FIC 1000 injectors. I'm pretty sure they are the same body though. If yours are the same length as the stock injectors and a single body you should be ok. I think people are skipping them even on the shorter body injectors and...
I really am interested in these but I am not sure how it will jive with what I am doing with my car. I am looking at 3/4" drop front and 1/2" rear. I have an Edelbrock SC that adds plenty of weight up front. Straight line traction is a necessity but I like a firm tight feeling car. My last car...
That has been holding me back as well. I have everything but the shield ready to go. I haven't crawled under there to look at it yet to see how it installs. Will I have to pull everything back off to install it when it arrives if I go ahead and make the switch now?
I went with the FIC 1000cc. They are a single body and same length as stock. Home Depot has sockets with long ball end allens that made short work of the swap.
