Mine was built Jan4 and shipped out via rail 5 weeks later...then it took nearly 4 weeks to travel the 400 miles to my dealer! Luckily I took delivery on Saturday and the car looks great!

The guys and gals over in Gen6Camaro have to be loving this! I was shopping a Z/28 after my first MSRP deal fell through. It was interesting seeing things from both sides. I'm sure Ford will come up with a solution.

This thread is discussing trans oil, not engine oil. In my example I'm talking about Ford voiding your engine warranty for installing a trans cooler. The burden is on the manufacturer to prove that your part caused the problem, I believe it is the law.

And wouldn't they would have to prove that the add-on part (in this case the oil cooler) had caused the problem that the car was taken in for? Example: If the motor blows up from normal use and during inspection they notice an aftermarket trans cooler they can't automatically just blame it on...

Ford calls it the Track Pack for a reason. Base and Tech Pack owners can still track their cars, but their sessions can't be as long....that's what I am saying. I fail to see the logic in thinking that track performance, longevity, etc is going to be the same for a Track Pack car as it will be...

Yes, Ford said "the track version". Did Ford say anything about the base or Tech Pack being able to withstand 20+minutes on the track without overheating issues? Just playing Devil's advocate here. Maybe you can't have your cake and eat it too. Maybe base and Tech Pack owners can still track...

If Ford thought that the Base/Tech packs could handle heat issues at the track, then what is the point of offering the Track Pack...other than a shock and spoiler upgrade? It seems to me that Ford has a different idea of what the intended use is for each package?

I have no problem with them keeping the car to clear up a quality control issue before it leaves the plant! I had thought about that....just curious. It would have been one of the first cars built after the Xmas break.
