Fixed. FR50 was the answer. No CELs on track or autocross.
Something else we found, we made 24 autocross runs in about 5 hours. The car went out every 12 minutes, after the 7th or 8th run it started getting flat on launch, way down on power. Switched the gauge over and saw that coolant was...
Here I thought I was becoming less hackish with my driving......:)
I decided to stay with 275s on the front wheels and went to 285s on the rear both sizes weigh the same so I didn't see an advantage in heat tolerance and I really didn't want the steering to be any more vague. We'll scrub them...
How?
Same spring rate = same ride quality. Unless you preload the spring so far that the strut/shock tops out or you use crappy springs that go into bind, preload will have zero effect on ride quality.
It seems to be temp related, I need to dig through the data log and find the oil temp, then I will have a clearer picture. Ford told me the cam phasers are last in line for oil pressure so it is entirely possible that by the time it gets there, it is not enough pressure with hot 5w20 oil...
Shrug......not red on the gauge.
I talked to Lake @ Driven and he pointed out that there is an FR50 oil now......I wasn't aware of that before. I ordered a case, so we will change oil and see what happens at Pitt Race next weekend.
Any roadrace/autoxers had a check engine light come on? Those two codes are for the cam sensors in each bank. At 3500 miles I don't believe both cam sensors failed. This only happens at at an event, never driving on the street, and usually turns off the CEL in two run cycles. I never paid...

If you have never autocrossed, you will not get any performance baselines. Just concentrate on driving. Autocross is a drivers sports and setup is worth tenths and driver is worth seconds. The single biggest...
I ordered a bar from Strano today as well. Still waiting on shocks......
I have been running 275 RE71s also. Ran them on the stock PP wheels for a while, now on a set of Forgestars.
Thanks Dick! I had seen clips of that paper before but they were lacking the vehicle specific info. So it looks like T hooks into the rocker and then forward to the D rings.
Is anyone towing their car on a trailer? What are you attaching straps to? Are there factory hook ups for hooks? I only have D rings in the trailer, so wheel nets are not an option.
Do not run with Advancetrac on. You don't learn anything that way.
I have had the warning come on before, I have never been able to pinpoint the cause, it is really random. The only common denominator had been heavy braking and turning at the same time.
