Also for 15-17 cars, HIDs of a certain lightoutput require Headlight washers and auto-leveling. That's why ford put in some lower powered ones in the european cars. (not required for LED)
And due to some visibility regulations 15-17 had no illuminated tri-bars in the headlight (which could be...
Ha, Hahahah! No.
But to be fair, i tried it a couple of times, was impressed by how quiet it is and changed it back.
Also, as european Ponys have aparticulate filter (required on newer direct injected cars) they might be quite a bit more silent anyway.
Not to mention, noise regulations auto-mute...
Aerodynamically the hood is more of a low-pressure zone, a rearward scoop would probably benefit more and act as a heat extractor.
Which is similar to what a ZL1 Camaro, or GT500 with their hood-vents do.
Changing because of a few km on the odometer? I would not do that.
Maybe the new one got mistreated a lot in that time?
Even swapping for a Mach1 for the tremec isn´t really a sinsible idea (unless you spend a lot of time on the track)
always really liked the colour in the door panels.
But was a bit too worried liking it long term to get the seats in red. I think the striping on the 2013ish GT500 was neat. (two Lemans stripes on the center)
As the Mach1 calls for a 5w30 and is the same engine (+more cooling) i would go for its oil +spec. Although my service center recommended sticking to the original 5w20.
So unless some new recommendations are released ill stick to it... until the 5y warranty is over. :D
A slight new car smell with a hint of honey due to the leather conditioner i occasionally use. and no i don't carry trash or eat gross stuff in my car.
Sadly any of those were no option in the poll.
Shouldn't a Mach1 ECU etc. work on a conversion? The engines are basically the same, cooling and suspension should not interfere? (It would just go to overheating limp mode faster?)
First thought on required parts, trans, trans cooling, ECU/PCM/TCU (whatever they are called)...
Even mercedes did that with their 6.3 badge, which was a 6.2, and now the C63etc. are 4.0 :D
The rounding thing is just BS... "Hurr, we rounded up so the 4.51 is a 5.0" Yeah and 5 rounds up to 10, so we all have 10.0 Coyotes?
The Displacment misendeavour is widespread at Ford, the Gen3 Mustang...
I may not have a GT500, sorry for still giving my 2cents here.
Quality Control seems to be a "slight" Issue, although i see myself lucky for not having any major Issues. (some small paint-intrusions) But the most obvious one would be...
They mounted the wrong door sill plate in my car. (One side...
The transmission movement would be my biggest concern (so you don't lock yourself out at WOT shifts) combining it with some after-market shifters, or somehow mounting it on the trans would be a fix.
Also thought about it might be cool having a gated shifter. The reverse lockout to my knowledge...
Just had a look under the hood (without removing the rad cover) its more than 30mm (or for weird unit countries: 1.06740510463 e-10 lightseconds) :)
Honeslty, i expected it to be a thicker boy, so i might remove the cover someday to investigate further.
Export (Euro) Spec Mustangs are a bit different to US models in terms of packages. Also partially named different.
We cant get a 3.73 Torsen (Well the Mach 1 does i think) even in the Manual. (reduces emissions a bit) Here our cars come Standard like Premium Pack, but no center gauges.
But...
As someone who ordered a grabber lime one before (out of practicality) switching to DHG, i think the bullitts colour is too dark. (Well yeah, i like vibrant colours) so from pictures so far i like the eruption green more. even though im unsure about the yellow sparkle it has.
When i do more than normal driving i pack my flight gloves, they got one plus, in a worst case, they are fire resistant. I try to avoid driving with dirty hands (or dirty me) anyway... well i cant drive without my dirty mind, so much for that. :D
