  1. MBRP Street Drone?

So I've given up on the idea of adding resonators...feeling rather dejected. I got a chance to really look at everything again. Short of putting a dent in the resonators to clear the flanges on the differential..there really is no way of adding resonators anywhere but the H-pipe. I'd prefer not...
  2. MBRP Street Drone?

I'm going to have to have a shop do the work as I don't have a welder and don't have a way of manipulating pipe. ^My thinking is somewhere in here, since 1142 are the oval resonators and not the bottle style. When my car was up in the air, I dry fit the resonators (just held them up)...
  3. MBRP Street Drone?

So we're up to 7 people that say they have some drone. As a minor update, I found someone with a lift and double-checked everything. All connections were tight, and the entire system seemed to have "settled" itself. Though I noticed, when looking at the system from behind, the H-pipe was tilted...
  4. MBRP Street Drone?

Based on the poll results thus far, it looks like 5 people (myself not included) are reporting some drone. I still haven't had a chance to have someone double-check my work. I'm still wondering if having the last bit of pipe before the mufflers at a slightly different length could cause the...
  5. MBRP Street Drone?

MagnaFlow Thanks for the suggestions. I actually did a lot of reading on the j-pipes once I found a place to start looking. That's probably what I'll end up doing. As for the MBRP exhaust, the rasp is pretty crazy, but it's funny that it seems to depend less on RPM and more on throttle...
  6. The Next GT 500: RWD V8 or AWD V8?

Going from N/A to turbo and then back to N/A (FR-S -> STi -> Mustang), I must say that I'm really enjoying the feeling of instant throttle response again. I will say I miss the incredible surge of power in the STi, but overall N/A makes a much better DD. I'll concede I've never driven a turbo...
  7. MBRP Street Drone?

Okay so here's a question...is there somewhere I can get j-pipes made in case the drone doesn't go away? I called a few shops here in Atlanta but half didn't know what I was talking about, the other had no means of bending pipe.
  8. Need Exhaust help!!!!

Have you considered modding the stock cans? I've had some success cutting open motorcycle mufflers and modifying them and then welding them back together. Free if you have a welder.
  9. MBRP Street Drone?

Yeah, and that's why I went with MBRP. I read that every post in that huge thread on the MBRP Street and all these people were saying zero drone. The only time I heard anyone mention drone was in the installation video from CJPonyParts. The guy (don't know his name) in all those videos says...
  10. MBRP Street Drone?

Good point, though I would be afraid of pulling the tips out any further. They're out far enough that you can see the MBRP logo from the top.
  11. What are the odds of an auto?

No more crazy than the proposal of a GT350 with an automatic transmission. And, like your comment, mine is just an opinion. :)
  12. What are the odds of an auto?

In my opinion, pairing anything more than ~200HP (cars) with an automatic transmission is a mistake. Your average driver (at least in the US) is not equipped to handle the amount of power some cars are churning out. I've raced motorcycles, cars, go-karts, you name it. My last car was an STi...
  13. MBRP Street Drone?

Hmmm... So I just happened upon another thread where someone was talking about "j pipes" being added to their system. I'm not familiar with this term, but I assume it's a form of resonance chamber? I'd be very grateful if someone could provide me with a link that pertains to the 2015+...
  14. MBRP Street Drone?

So I just got done installing the MBRP Street cat-back system on my 2016 GT. I've got the CS package with stock gearing. It's a manual. I've only put about 50 miles on the car since I installed the exhaust, but it seems I have some drone at ~70mph in 6th gear, which happens to be ~1900RPM...
  15. Pirelli Cinturatos?

Versus the P-Zeros, would you say there is a significant difference in ride quality/noise? Also, I would imagine there's a hit to traction overall, but specifically wet traction...better, equivalent, or worse? Oh, and do you have auto or manual? What about performance pack? Thanks!!
  16. Is there any real reviews/videos of the 2016 camaro SS vs 2015/16 GT?

That's actually what I was talking about. There is a huge blindspot on both sides when you turn your head. The one I test drove was a 2016. I've also rented a Challenger v6 and the Charger R/T. In terms of visibility, the Charger is slightly better by virtue of having two extra pieces of...
  17. New Support Group for Mustang owners.

Super* Wow, I have no idea how I missed that. I posted from my phone...autocorrect strikes again.
  18. Shift points in a manual?

2-2.5K when cold, 3k when warm. You can shift pretty soon without lugging the engine so long as you are careful with the throttle.
  19. New Support Group for Mustang owners.

Is that the price for scoots or regular?
  20. Pirelli Cinturatos?

Fair enough. I'm actually trying to get away from performance tires since they don't last and I put a LOT of miles on my vehicles each month. I'd like to avoid replacing tires every 6 months if I can. The Cinturatos have a 70K mile warranty and a 700 wear rating. I understand I'm giving up...
