The glass roof is absolutely not lighter. A big glass panel is always going to be heavier than a comparable steel version. Head room is actually about the same as the steel roof but much better than you would have if there were a sunroof.
No one is too old to drive a Mustang!

Keep in mind that Ford vehicles with SYNC don't have embedded cellular radios. Ford did this on purpose when they designed the system so that owners wouldn't be tied to a particular technology for the life of the car. Instead drivers bring their own connection and SYNC provides the interface to...
Actually, that's not accurate. A number of German cars and even some Fords ( I think even some Cadillacs) in Europe have full stop and go ACC. They will bring the vehicle to a full stop and then accelerate away as long as you don't press the brake pedal. The system in the Mustang (and other NA...
When you add the appearance package there is an incremental charge on top of the base sticker that includes the extra price of the wheels. Similarly if you get just the PP you pay for a package that includes a wheel upgrade.
If you start with a GT premium add the 19inch wheel package for...
Several years back a replacement 15-inch wheel for my daughter's Honda Fit sport was about about $330 and a 16 for my wife's Jetta was $375. 18s or 20s will almost certainly cost $400-500 or more each
Check out these two original prototypes.

They'll be in Tulsa this weekend for the Mid America Shelby Nationals
So far, ALL orders are stock orders. When the order banks initially open for any model, as they did on May 20 for Mustang, the first month or so is all for dealer inventory. Manufacturers (ford and others) don't accept specific retail orders until later (in this case probably late June, early...
There's no real story. Ford program codes are pretty standard. The first letter(s) denote the platform - Bxxx is small b-segment (Fiesta) - Cxxx is compact (Focus/Escape/C-max) - C/D is midsize (Fusion) - Dxxx is full-size (Taurus) - Sxxx is sport (Mustang)
The numbers are just a sequential...
Hill start assist usually works whenever a grade greater than about 5% (uphill or downhill) is detected. That's a fairly shallow slope of less than 3 degrees. It's designed to keep the brakes on the undriven wheels (in this case the front wheels) locked for a few seconds or until the driver...
You don't remember it because it never happened. Here's the press release that went out in December

and the specs...
Technically no customers including yourself have "pre-ordered" anything yet, at least as far as Ford is concerned. Retail order banks have not yet opened, which is why there has been no information about option pricing announced yet. All of the orders placed since May 20 have been for dealer...
For 2015, the base GT gets 4-pot calipers with 14-inch rotors in the front, basically the same setup that was on the boss. The PP gets the same 6-pot Brembos and 15-inch rotors that are on the 2014 GT500.
Consider this. Ford sold about 72,000 Mustangs in the US last year and half a million F-150s. The profit margins on the trucks are also probably a lot higher.
Combined average fuel economy for the fleet including 2WD/4WD and all engines is probably in the 16-17 mpg range.
For Mustangs the...
For reference, the 420 hp Cadillac CTS V-sport which is on the Alpha platform and has roughly the same footprint as Mustang (length*width) weighs in at 3,950 lbs. Assuming the next Camaro stays about the same size, I'd be shocked if it weighs much less.
The new features go beyond electronics...
The weight speculation was from an Edmunds post by Rick Kranz that everyone else picked up http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2015-ford-mustang-goes-on-a-diet.html
Kranz is a notoriously unreliable source of speculation going back years to his days at Automotive News.
